Famous for the production of DOP bread, Altamura also boasts the presence of an interesting medieval cathedral built by Frederick II of Swabia and a succession of noble palaces along the streets of the historic center. Gravina, on the other hand, famous for its rock habitat, has numerous cave churches surrounded by a decidedly picturesque landscape.

We saw the two churches in a hurry and then our host disappeared. Nobody was there to open the door at the museum, even upon appointment. Rather visit Sassi at your iwn pace and get tickets as you arrive at the location. Not worth to buy the pass.
