Best guided horseback ride we have ever taken. Our 6 year old twins had their own horses that were gentle. Our guide was sweet and local to the area. These horses were the most reaponsive trail ride horses we have ridden before. Scenery and views are amazing. Oir girla got to love on horses at the fence for a long time after the ride.

Monarch Lake Loop Trail

3 miles or so round trip around the lake. We went early fall and one side of the lake was covered in snow. Nice hike without too much beetle kill everywhere, especially on one side of the lake. Moose in the area. Great place for a picture. And the drive in along Lake Granby is beautiful.

Columbine Lake Trail

Reviewed By GRfamily49506 - Milwaukee, United States

This was one of the most beautiful hikes we have taken in the past two years in Colorado. It offers diverse scenery off Meadows rocks and high mountains. The trail starts off moderately for the first 2 miles with the last section offering more of an incline and a bit of a challenge (totally doable). The lake at the end of the trail is absolutely spectacular and worth the trip. Trail head is at the end of a very long and bumpy dirt road so a word of warning here- take it easy on your vehicle! Enjoy!!!

Coyote Valley Trail

This easy one-mile trail follows the Colorado River.

Nice easy walk for an afternoon stretch or early morning warmup. We hiked the Onahu Creek to Green Mountain Trail loop in the morning (about 8 miles) and came here after lunch to walk off our burgers. The trail is lovely and has beautiful valley views and some high peaks in the distance and you can walk right by a creek.
