The small Brazilian village of Gramado is a quaint and woodsy respite that boasts some delightful surprises. After you’ve fully enjoyed the paddleboats and surrounding Black Forest pines of Lago Negro, pay a visit to Snowland, a unique indoor snow park. Kids will love a visit to Mini Mundo, a miniature park that features tiny replicas of famous landmarks.

Worthy of its reputation as one of South America’s best zoos, GramadoZoo is an animal reserve with a difference. Specializing in species native to Brazil and with an emphasis on animal welfare, GramadoZoo makes a welcome change for animal lovers, with spacious open living areas and most of the animals brought in as rescues. More than 1,500 animals currently inhabit the zoo, including capuchin and howler monkeys, tapir, emus and crocodiles, and a 1.800m walkways links each section. Most impressive is the huge aviary, where birds like arraras, parrots and toucans fly freely, while more dangerous creatures like jaguars, leopards and snakes can be seen from behind armored glass screens. Finally, for an even more thrilling encounter, visitors can also choose a night tour and take a peek at the zoo’s nocturnal residents.

This is a recently built church and very ornate. Located bang in the heart of Gramado, it's really convenient for attending mass on a Sunday morning.

Mini Mundo is a magical and charming world place that transports each tourist to their childhood full of dream and sweetness. Each of the details draws attention to the care in this universe created to cheer up the grandchildren of the owner of Hotel Ritta Hoppner (and it has become a very beautiful attraction in the city of Gramado). It's worth visiting. If you are staying at the Hotel Ritta Hoppner, the ticket for visiting Mini World and afternoon tea served daily is free for your guests.

Jardins a céu aberto, cultivo de plantas e flores, loja de essências com ênfase na lavanda e suas propriedades terapêuticas, bistrô.
We were "lucky" enough to be at Le Jardin the very first day they started charging an entrance fee (ten Brazilian reais for adults, five for seniors and children, 6yr and below are free). Despite that, it is worthwhile to visit it. The property is uphill, and you get to visit the different flower gardens by going uphill in stairs or trails. Because many senior fellows visit it yearly, they decided to put all gardens halfway through the climbing, so you don't need to go all the way to the top, where only a greenhouse with small plantlets are kept to sell. There is a nice gift shop where local fragrances, soaps (locally produced), memorablia and decorating itens are sold (not cheap). There is also a small cafe by the shop, where good coffees and pies are served.

Charming store . A Must go! There you can find home made pasta, artisan jams, cookies, chocolate, cheese, juices. On weekends you can try fresh baked breads from a wood-burning stove.

It's a must go place for those who are visita Gramado. We did a guided tour with a sommelier who was excellent. The visit took around 2 hours and was divided into 2 parts, the first being dedicated to the presentation of the winery and the production of wines, and the second, dedicated to tasting 5 types of wine that were all excellent. I highlight with strong points the excellent service, the beauty of the place, the high quality of the wines and the concern of the owners in offering the best.
