This has got to be the best time of year. So much atmosphere and so much music. The music is spread over many venues and they are all good bands and artists. It is not full on blues music which is good. There is a bit of rock, a bit of blues and a bit of most things plus lots of eating and drinking. There are thousands and thousands of people attend over 4 days but that just gives it more atmosphere. If you can’t get accommodation in Broadbeach maybe try Surfers Paradise or Main Beach which has the tram running to Broadbeach

The Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub is the ultimate entertainment destination. Embark on a journey to the heartland of Australia through an all new show featuring a transformative arena, mesmerising animals and immersive technology. Delve into the real-life struggles Aussie farmers face and rejoice with them as the community's courage, bravery and generosity help them overcome a stunning, yet unforgiving life on the land. Australian Outback Spectacular’s Heartland promises an unforgettable night out with a three course dinner and drinks.
The show is meant to showcase Aussie bush skills especially working with stock and this certainly is achieved. Horses are ridden beautifully and dogs round up cattle and we see some exceptional riding skills. As well Australia’s history and climate are showcased in a corny story but it appeals to all especially the Japanese school students at our show. There’s humour and you-beaut-utes and even a song or two. Before the show patrons can be photographed (but it’s pricey) and view the horses and the clever dogs. It’s well organised and patrons find their seats easily with the help of lots of polished staff. The three course meal is good value and the excellent service means meals are hot, drinks are plentiful and the special effects ensure everyone is entertained. The addition of a hat for all makes this a memorable evening,

One of the better Cinemas on the GC. Very well priced with clean facilities. Seats have plenty of room. You can also take your own food into the cinema (within reason)

HOTA, Home of the Arts is the Gold Coast's premier cultural facility, bringing visual and performing arts to residents of South East Queensland. The complex houses our Theatre, HOTA Gallery, two Cinemas and the HOTA Café as well as several stunning function rooms, a chapel and two small performance spaces. HOTA - "Home Of The Arts"...at last the Gold Coast has a cultural hub which for a city it's size is suitable for all, genres and types of entertainment. Congratulations to all involved in seeing this project come to fruition. Earlier in the year, I had the privilege to catch Laurie Anderson doing some projects/colaberations all of which were excellent...especially her concert for dogs. She effectively "opened" the NEW amphitheatre at HOTA, a real coup by the organisers. Now Nick Cave was here also, another great coup, "What do you want to know", an answer and question session interspersed with some wonderful songs by Nick from his vast catalogue in the main concert hall.... Great night great venue. Also checked out the art gallery, a must see for any music fans of the Gold Coast over the last 30 years or so Cafe food was rather scrumptious and for Nick a local brewer had a popup bar there as well....great work !!!
