The only thing I can tell about this place is a wonderful place to feel being in heaven and forgetting all anxiety and stress. In a same day you can see amazing mountain covered by fog while watching flock of sheep with guard dogs wondering about. Good smell of rainy forest all around you.

I can not say enough about the view and how gorgeous it is, it is a historical castle with an amazing view all around it. Nice story as well. But you might wanna be prepared for the journey, it's more than 1600 stairs on a mountain that you have to climb. It really is hard to get up there, but once you're there, you see that its worth it.

Masouleh is located in the southwest of Guilan province, 65 km from Rasht. This steppe village is located on the eastern side of the Talesh Mountains. This place, which has become world renowned for its architecture, has been built in the mountains and the view of its bridges in the lush green slopes of the mountains and the "Masouleh Rudkhan" river flowing through Al Qaer Valley, from the most delightful and spectacular landscapes of Gilan and Iran.

It's a great place to trace traditional costumses and lifestyle. It is full of ancient houses with porches, curtains, mats, etc. Remember to have cash since you won't be able to use ur credit card within the site. U might also visit the traditional shops and buy local foods.Morover,u can see the ancient games and culture on Fridays.

If it's not too hot, you can climb up the stairs just right of the Lahijan waterfall up to the parking lot at the amusement park, from where the cable-car starts (30 min uphill hike). Else take a taxi, the last 1 km up to the top takes 1 EUR (50k IRR) entry toll, but very worthwhile. From the top, the rather modern cable-car (made in Austria) takes you up and down across lush tea gardens to another hill-top, where you can spend a wonderful evening in one of the plenty restaurant booths smoking a nargileh and sipping tea (what else...?). Small roofed pavillons around the terrace offer sitting spots and nice views of the tea plantations, the city, the artifical lake and into the plains towards the Caspian coast. Sheytan Kuh is probably not quite enough for a full day's program, but makes a very nice hangout for sunset and into the evening hours.

Mehdi said: An amazing city with amazing nights. One of the most exiting attractions in Rasht is visiting shahrdari square specially at night. The square has a four ways walking street with some old buildings like former municipality complex (that built in 1920s), cinema, boutiques, shops, statues of local celebrities and city symbols and street food kiosks. From evening until midnight (or maybe later) you can try delicious street foods like various kinds of kebab (called kabab kasif = dirty kebab), cherry tea, baked fava beans, baked beet roots and etc... People in Rasht walk and eat till first hours of morning in shahrdari square and they are very kind, nice and happy people with a notable opinion: Live the moment! Rasht is one of UNESCO creative cities in gastronomy and have many delicious local foods. Have fun ;)
