Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA)

Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA) was established for a purpose. Founded by Agung Rai, a Balinese who has devoted his life to the preservation and development of Balinese art and culture, the museum was officially opened on June 9, 1996 by Prof. Dr. Ing. Wardiman Djojonegoro, Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The museum is administered by ARMA Foundation set up on May13th 1996. The museum hosts regular performance 4 times a week, A learning center for local children to mastering their traditional dance skill, Cultural activity available for visitor. The entrance fee inclusive of free coffee or tea at any Kafe Arma or ARMa Thai restaurant.

About Bali Theatre: This Bali's first ever indoor premier Dance and Performing Art Theatre set in approximately 460m2 building can accommodate up to 1200 seating capacity. It is fully equipped with advanced multi-media technology and state-of-art sound and lighting systems. About Bali Agung -The Legends of Balinese Goddess. A spectacular across culture colossal dance show performance, featuring more than 180 Balinese dancers and musicians that are combined with a traditional and modern theatrical, music orchestra arrangement, great costumes and stage lighting & sound production. The story line is based on the Balinese legend epic of prince Jaya Pangus with his beloved wife, the Chinese princess, Kang Chin Wei and his encounter with the ethereal Princess Danu. This production is supported by the outstanding core creative teams from Bali & Australia, Peter Wilson as Creative Director and Made Sidia as the Artistic Designer. The show is held daily at 02.30pm to 3.30pm except on Monday.

Its like a dance drama based on Ramayana. It is performed using during the evening in amphitheater like place with sea in the background. The seats gets filled up very quick so be on time. You get to see the various characters from Ramyana like Ram, sita , Ravan and Hanuman and the Hanuman character will suddenly pop in the middle of the crowd.
