Art Omi is a not-for-profit arts organization offering residency programs for international artists in a variety of mediums, education programs for youth and adults, and The Fields Sculpture Park, which Park presents the works of internationally recognized contemporary and modern artists and architects. The Fields is open daily from dawn until dusk, and is free to visit. Art Omi believes that exposure to internationally diverse creative voices fosters tolerance and respect, raises awareness, inspires innovation, and ignites change. By forming community with creative expression as its common denominator, Omi creates a sanctuary for the artistic community and the public to affirm the transformative quality of art.
Art Omi is a perfect outdoor destination to visit with friends during a time when social distancing is on our radar. While meandering up and down the hills, and through gentle paths in the woods and around a body of water, there are plenty of opportunities to pause and take in the art, sit on a chair or bench, breathe in a beautiful view of the Columbia County landscape and enjoy one another's company. What an extra special gift that this park is free and open to the public. I am grateful!

Our 900-acre Biodynamic farm is the heart of our 501(c)3 nonprofit, Hawthorne Valley Association, dedicated to renewing the soil, society, and self (soul) through the integration of education, agriculture and art since 1972. The farm is USDA certified organic, Demeter certified Biodynamic, and Animal Welfare Approved. Our 65-head dairy herd provides fertility for our soil and milk for our creamery where we make yogurt and cheese. Raw milk is available for purchase in our farm store. Our Biodynamic veggies are available through a 300-member CSA, at NYC greenmarkets, and in our farm store, where we also sell pasture-raised pork and chicken. Our organic bakery uses flour made from Biodynamic grains grown on the farm. Try our famous raw sauerkraut and ferments. Visitors are welcome! Interested in learning more about our diverse organization? Guided and self-guided tours are available. Our October fall festival is family-friendly and a great way to see what we’re all about.
