Irrland

Irrland • The farm-adventure oasis To be a child again, play together, not against each other, that is Irrland. Even in the 21st year, we remain true to our philosophy. We offer a great gaming environment and a high recreational value combined with a unique friendliness at low cost. Irrland is growing dynamically and has become Europe's biggest "farm-adventure oasis". Our 300,000 sqm area is an palm-lined, green oasis and exudes mediterranean holiday atmosphere. Over 1,000 seating protect you from sun and rain, and our free disposal grills are perfect for relaxing and enjoying. (reservations not necessary / possible) To visit Irrland is worthwhile in any weather! About 8,000 sqm of play and action barns, an indoor climbing world, play barns for small children, as well as the largest winter garden in North Rhine Westphalia makes the Irrland becomes an "all weather park".

For all readers from the UK, let me say that nothing in the UK matches Irrland. Oh boy, we have a lot to learn! Firstly, the cost. €7 ish each! To be precise, booking online (needed during Covid) 3 day ticket booked the day before cost us £20.53. Secondly. You can park for free! Third. Once you’ve paid to get in....No temptation! No £5 balloons, No arcades or those dreaded games to try win some awful oversized garish stuffed thing from china. Any food & drink was fairly priced. If you want a coffee or ice cream, it’s normal shop prices. Finally. It’s geared up to a full day out, picnics, BBQ’s (to hire), 100’s of covered picnic seats, bring your own stuff settle in your spot and enjoy. You don’t have overpriced junk food on every corner. Of course you can buy a German sausage and fries in one place, but that’s it. You can hire a sturdy wooden cart to pull everything around (including a 7 year old) for €3 plus a €10 deposit returned on exit, which is very handy (as well as great fun to be pulled about in I’m told). So, what do you get for that massive €7 entrance fee? So, So, so much I can’t begin to put it all in a review, but I can say we arrived at 11am, left at 7pm (closing time in July) and didn’t mange to see IIrland North. We arrived at West, managed to travel to the south before being beaten by time. It’s a park, it’s a massive brilliant park, it’s a water park, it’s a soft play, it’s got animals, it’s got boats, it’s got sandpits, it’s got climbing things, swinging things, it’s got bouncy things galore.... sit on tractors, pedal cars and wheelchairs! It’s for toddlers, it’s for bigger kids, it’s for teenagers. Not a grab machine in sight, no arcades, no vending machines. No temptation. Nothing to squeeze you of a few quid. The kids won’t even think of that stuff because there is just so much for them to do. Outdoors and undercover. It’s wholesome fun. What kids need. We visited during the Covid situation in July20, and other than the odd place you needed to wear a mask which was local law at the time of visiting, it was all very well managed. Contactless payment accepted for a drink and ice cream so no cash needed except a €1 coin for some of the pedal things (like a supermarket trolley return). I can honestly say that if Irrland hasn’t won awards for what they have done & the environment they have created, they need to. Because it’s brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. We will be back! Don’t change Irrland ????

Aventura - Der Spielberg
