Christmas market we took our granddaughter to see the Christmas markets in Germany in the city and the Christmas market was a wonderful experience. The time itself without the Christmas market is a worthwhile experience because it had very little damage from the war And a lot of the structures are still intact if you are in Germany it’s a definite place you have to visit

We made the walk on a sunny September Sunday. So nice. Plenty of nice places for food or coffe. Nice view. Take care of the bicycles.

Close to the hustle and bustle of Alexander Platz but a lot calmer and quieter. While a lot of the original medieval town was destroyed by allied bombing, it has been rebuilt in keeping with its history. A lovely area to wander, or visit a cafe or bar, for a drink with far fewer tourists than the neighbouring areas.

This West Berlin neighborhood has long been a nexus for Berlin's socially alternative population.

One of if not the most Turkish neighborhood in the city, with tons of gentrifying hipsters too and a few old punks. Hands down you will find the best and cheapest Turkish food here, you can also find expensive Turkish food as well. Either way, its all sensational stuff. There is something on every corner, blocks of small businesses in between large blocks of residences. Graffiti everywhere. Kotbusser tor is good place to look for food, that surrounding round street has some of the best ones. There is quire a lot of nightclubs, bit more underground and inviting than the pretentious famous ones people wait two hours in line for just to be turned away.

The world's oldest social settlement, this estate houses 200 impoverished Catholic tenants.

Reviewed By 549JenB - London, United Kingdom

This is a lovely place to visit for everyone. It's the oldest social housing development in the world dating back to the 16th Century and was the concept of Jakob Fugger. It is still inhabited today and the people lucky enough to be allowed to live there pay 88 cents in rent and must be Catholics and willing to pray for the Fugger family. You can go into a ground floor apartment as it looks today as well as another one which looks like it did 200yrs ago. There is also a museum with lots of information about the Fugger family and a restaurant/cafe.
