Explore the real Sternschanze with this 2-hour walking tour in Hamburg and see the district between gentrification, culture and alternative lifestyle. Guests will enjoy a fantastic day away from the city life and will be able to explore the local streets of the “Sternschanze” area on this walking tour. The original, alternative Hamburg of the 80s is still to be found here, but the trendy and hip has already been coming in for years. Since the beginning of the 2000s, the Schanzeviertel has experienced a steady increase in popularity among young people, creative people and real estate speculators. Anyone interested in Hamburg's cultural life, culinary delights, street art and nightlife away from the Reeperbahn or the city centre should definitely take part in this city tour.

Our host in Rothenburg organised this tour for us. This is a fantastic introduction to the city in a different and fun and musical way. Amelia (the Lady who conducts the tour) is an amazing individual. She will inspire you, with her music, with her love for the city and with her sense of humour, during this tour. Even at 7 degrees temp, mild rain and a very empty city, Amelia completed the entire tour just the way she does it around the year. She truly is an artist!

Writing novels inspires me on the creation of an exciting screenplay for a tour with historical content. Dukes, electors, and kings surround a career of fighting, weddings and love of the arts. In this tour, I bring the participants closer to the sponsors of art and culture and give the first impression of contemporary art in the city of Munich. Reserve a seat for my popular Welcome Tour through Munich. Look at beautiful places like Asam church, Jakobsplatz, Alter Hof, Moneta Regia, Royal Residence, Fuenf Hoefe, Theatinerkirche, Hofgarten, and many more. I tell exciting stories about Munich and its history and you get exclusive tips for your stay and shopping in Munich. If you have more time, look at my other goals. The tour progress depends on the group and it is not a marathon. We walk comfortably through the planned course and no one will experience unanswered questions here. For companies, this tour is supplemented with a team and communication program on request.

We did an excellent tour with our guide Paul. We are glad that we did it. He is an excellent knowledgeable guide, very caring and a lovely person. We visited St. Peter's Church, Platzl an der Orlandostrasse, Bayerische Staatsoper, U-Bahn to Odeonsplatz etc with him. He was very nice to us during our entire visit, patience as a guide should be, explaining history of each place along with some fun. If we ever visit Munich again, we shall hire Paul. Highly recommended.

First of all, a bit about our guide, Paul. He was incredible. Full of information, including history leading up to the war, and spent time on the journey telling us the background and showing things of interest. He could answer every question, and was obviously passionate about history and the area. He actually made our visit, and for that we cannot thank him enough. From purchasing the tickets to meeting our guide to getting back to our hotel, the process was easy. The journey is long on the train, followed by a 15 minute walk to Sachsenhausen, so be aware of that. The actual place - I don’t think I can put into words what it was like. The thought of being there, and hearing and imagining what the prisoners went through, was humbling, and made us reflect on how lucky we are. We didn’t take photos, as did not feel it was right to do so (our personal view), and we were also so busy listening to Paul we didn’t really think about taking any. There is a café- we thought there wasn’t so took some lunch with us, but would eat at the café if we returned as it looked nice food (soup/sandwiches/cake) and was reasonably priced. The biggest advice we would give is take a coat, even if it is not particularly cold. The wind across the open space was biting at times. We would say this is an unmissable trip, and be prepared to be moved. And ask for Paul - you won’t be disappointed.

Founded in 1855 by King Maximilian II of Bavaria, the Bavarian National Museum was constructed according to plans found by Archive Director Karl Maria Freiherr von Aretin in 1853 the plans for the construction of a Wittelsbach Museum. This should not be just a museum, but the most interesting and patriotic monuments and other remnants of past times. King Maximillian II, who ever wished to be a teacher, but not a king gave the proper start. Prince Luitpold renewed the construction in 1899 and we can see his signs everywhere. Follow me in this interesting experience.

Just taken the Berlin tour with Marvin, and totally recommend it . There were two of us on our private tour of different abilities with photography and were both accommodated more than adequately. We were taken to some of the ‘big’ obvious sites but also plenty of off the beaten track areas too. Heaps of help with the camera plus tips and tricks that even the experienced one amongst us learned. Thanks again! Can’t recommend this and Marvin enough!

We loved this food tour, it was one of our favorite activities in Berlin! Since it was just our group Liz was able to customize it to our liking. She took us to some of her favorite spots, places we never would have found on our own. We felt like locals and oh man was the food delicious! Liz was very entertaining and charming and even helped us navigate our way to our next activity. We loved every minute of the food tour and highly recommend Liz!

This walking tour surpassed all our expectations. Suffice it to say that Markus was a total revelation and we definitely got our money’s worth by an order of magnitude. The walking tour was fresh and intriguing, the itinerary innovative and surprising, and Markus is everything that you could ever wish for in a tour guide: he’s cultivated, open-minded, funny, and aware of even the lesser-discussed aspects of German/European history. From what he told us, he has a PhD in History, which explains how come he knows so much about more niche issues, such as the Roma community and a bunch of other counter stream topics. The trivia he shared with us while walking the streets of Berlin together was as savory as the complimentary burger and fries that we received at the end of the tour. It goes without saying that this experience comes highly recommended and I would not hesitate to embark on it again the next time I’m in Berlin!
