While Atlanta is the anchor and capital of Georgia, you can aim in any direction to find distinctly different regions – from the tail of the Appalachians in the North to the rolling Piedmont hills and on down to the seaside marshes in the East. Atlanta lays claim to the state’s number one attraction – Stone Mountain State Park. They say it best - “Serious fun. Endless adventure.” Just 15 minutes from downtown, the world’s largest exposed granite dome is surrounded by 3,200 acres of natural beauty and stimulating activities for every member of the family – sky rides and hiking paths, laser shows and pedal boats along Stone Mountain Lake. Golfers tee it up, while red foxes dash across the fairways in a state where the Masters Golf Tournament creates revered green-jacket memories every year. It’s a long downhill ride down to historic Savannah, a ‘stone’s throw’ from the Atlantic and a virtual step back in time to Southern architecture and stately squares. St. Simon’s and Jekyll Islands offer barrier island beauty and a wonderful combination of outdoor activities, historic sites and artistic culture. Originally the private winter playground of wealthy northeasterners, Jekyll Island stretches along 10 miles of coastal beaches and inland marshes. Cycling and walking paths wind under moss-laden oaks, and a tour of Millionaire Village takes you back to those Cornelius Vanderbilt and J.P. Morgan days. The kid-friendly Summer Waves Water Park adds man-made fun to natural water sport activities. Coastal golf courses and sophisticated St. Simon’s Island appeal to moms, dads and vacationing couples.

The Springer Opera House is a beautifully restored Edwardian style Opera House that was built in 1871. This National Historic Landmark was named the State Theater of Georgia by Governor Jimmy Carter in 1971. Today it is the region's premeire professional theatre that annually produces 13 shows with talent from Los Angeles to New York. It is the home of Springer Theatricals, the national touring arm of the Springer that performs in cities throughout the United States and Canada. It is also the home of the Springer Theater Academy, an extensive year-round training program for young actors and largest theater academy in the southeast.
We have been season ticket holders for over a decade. We enjoy everything that the Springer does. Our children have attended the summer academy camps every year and he loves it. #SpringerForever

Savannah's Premier Improv group with weekly shows in Savannah's historic district. Family friendlyoff the cuff, from the hip, seat of the pants comedy in the style of The Second City, The Groundlings, and Whose Line is it, Anyway? Winner of "Best Comedy Group" in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 by the readers of Connect Savannah.
I love improve comedy, and these comedians were some of the best I have seen. If you are in Savannah Mon, Fri or Sat you need to get tickets ( only 10$!!!) For more than an hour of belly busting laughs and great improv! We had the best time and it's an intimate audience participation type of evening, using suggestions from the audience for much of the subject matter. Please go see these very talented comedians if you are in Savannah and want to have a great time!!

Founded in 1855 by Mendelssohn’s student, Herman S. Saroni, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra became the second orchestra formed in the United States. The symphony disbanded during the Civil War and both World Wars, but always reorganized during times of peace. In 1949, the organization as we know it today, was formed and has performed for 69 consecutive years. The CSO has been a professional orchestra since the late 1970’s and employs as many as 90 musicians for any given concert. Long recognized as one of the southeast’s finest musical ensembles, the CSO currently performs at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.

You'll love seeing the Swamp Gravy shows. Each one different. They will bring you back to simpler times. Great actors. And a nice antique museum of times gone by to visit while you wait to enter.

The Elbert Theatre opened as a movie palace in 1940 and experienced many growing pains to get to where it is today. Since 2001 the facility has been operating as a live community theatre venue, concert space, movie theater and children's events venue.

After six years of performing the highest-rated show in San Francisco at The Marrakech Magic Theater, two years at the original Atlanta Magic Theater in the Old Fourth Ward, magician and owner Peter Morrison has brought his incredible 75-minute stage show with pre-show close up magic to the Embassy Suites on Centennial Olympic Park. This two-part experience involves close-up and stage magic, mentalism and tons of audience involvement. Cherished memories will be made during Peter’s unique magic and comedy performance! If you wish to enjoy close-up magic before the theater show, we encourage you to come early to our pre-show function area located just around the corner from our Main Theater entrance. During this time, magician Peter Morrison will personally greet you and perform mind-boggling sleight-of-hand magic for your party. Drinks can be purchased from Ruth’s Chris bar on the other side of the atrium and enjoyed during the pre-show and brought into theater at show time.
My sister and I were visiting Atlanta for the first time and we stumbled upon the Magic Show via Google Maps. We bought our tickets immediately because of all the reviews and I’m so happy we did. This show was remarkable and I was absolutely amazed by his stage presence and the show overall. I’d definitely recommend for anyone visiting Atlanta! Great fun for everyone!
