This state park has two miles of hiking trails and a beautiful beach.
Reid State Park has the most beautiful wide sandy beaches with sand bars and tidal pools. There are multiple beaches to choose from in the state park so that it is almost never crowded. Along the rockier parts are areas with picnic tables and grills. Some of these are set among the trees which provide a shady area, while others are in open sunnier areas. There is a lovely large shallow pond that is for children to swim in which has a lifeguard on duty. Also a great place to kayak in the wetland area. There are bathrooms and changing rooms. However there is no kiosk to buy food from, so bring your own lunch and snacks.

Beautiful pottery, and other art as well, including some wooden cheese boards. Small wooden sculptural pieces, jewelry, and other unique pieces. We picked up items to give friends and family, and for a cost they offered to ship all the items back to our home for us. They explained that if anything gets broken in shipping, to just let them know and they’ll send over a replacement. We loved it, what a special spot!

A charming garden and gourmet market located on the outskirts of Five Islands, Maine. The tiny market overflows with delicious fresh local produce and specializes in Maine Artisan cheese. You will also find an amazing selection of fine wines and craft beers as well as local meats and fresh local oysters! A great place to stop for wine and beer on the way to Five Islands Lobster Co, which is BYOB. This is a seasonal shop open from late May until early October.
