Great winery with great wine! Make sure you stop at this one! Try the bubbly Moscato! Beautiful! Try the wine and get the cheese plate and enjoy the patio

Another great meal at Virant winery. We love the food, and wine. They have treated us like family since the first time we walked in. Kim and her family are a gem. Prime rib and ribs are the best in the area. You will not be disappointed.

We invite you to taste our offerings year-round. Each season brings a new form of serene beauty. In the Spring, Summer and Fall enjoy the panoramic view of the vineyard from the deck and patio. While visiting in the winter be sure to savor the experience in the cozy tasting room which has a wood-burning fireplace. Tasting room hours are Sunday through Thursday 12pm-6pm and Friday / Saturday 12pm-8pm. We look forward to sharing our experience with you.
Being unable to make our usual trip to Canada wine country, we decided to try some wineries in and near Geneva, Ohio. The best of the lot was M Cellars. We sat out on the deck overlooking the vineyards, and the wine sommelier took us through a terrific selection of very good quality wines. The Gewurztraminer is, quite honestly, the best that I have tasted in a long time. They also have a very interesting wine that we had never tried before - Rkatsiteli - a wonderful European white varietal. We bought a case of four of their wines, and have already enjoyed a couple of bottles since we returned home. At only a two hour drive from home, we will definitely be back when our supply runs short. Highly recommended.

Winery
We came upon this winery just driving by. Nice environment as we approached, and the outdoor area was spacious, casual, and comfortable. They had a good system for waiting on people efficiently and safely. The wines were great, the food choices too. I think the best was how personable the servers were. We picked items based on their recommendations, and they were good choices. Definitely recommend.

What a great winery. Easily our favorite wine in the whole area by a wide margin. We are planning to return to enjoy some food on the patio this weekend and also to take some bottles home. This is a must see!

We LOVED this winery. It was our favorite of the 5 we stopped at that day. Beautiful scenery. Wonderful wine flights. When we make our next trip to Geneva we plan to visit and just spend an entire afternoon or evening there. They have a fire place for chili nights and plenty of space to spread out, let kids play, and walk the vineyards.

I have been to 39 wineries in this area over the last several years. Awesome wine, good food and great entertainment. Visit everytime I go there.

I’ll start off by saying I wish we had more time at Red Eagle. The cool, industrial style set this distillery apart from the wineries we visited on our wine tour. FYI: they stop serving drinks at 9:30pm. I wish they would have told us that when we ordered our first round, as we would have purchased a few anticipatory drinks as well. The atmosphere was awesome, and the creative drinks were DELICIOUS! the bathroom was a little quirky- it was located in a separate building which wouldn’t have been a big deal if it hadn’t been pouring (and we hadn’t been tipsy). We recommend the Dirty Ho and the Swamp Water. We would definitely love to come back on our next trip to the area.

Great service, great food, and even better wine. This was my 3rd visit and zero complaints. Wine burger, crab cakes, steak dinner, and cheese plate were all great! Get a tasting tray to try several different wines.

We stopped by just after visiting a local winery as they advertised fresh strawberries and we are so happy we did so. The owner was very helpful and was happy to talk about his place; his products as well as challenges of farming in todays regulation happy state. He has a beautiful shop full of produce, fresh made pies, nit naiks, local jams and jellies, etc. He took exceptional pride in his pies that are made fresh. Normally with just us two, we are leery of being to enjoy a whole pie but purchased a rhubarb pie as well as fresh strawberries. We have no regrets. The strawberries were fresh picked and you could taste the sunshine in every bite. The pie was outstanding. A delicious crust with plenty of rhubarb filling. We managed to eat it over two days (the second day was a good as the first). We will definitely return when in the area, especially as summer continues as he said his peach crop did not suffer any frost damage this spring.
