Escaperoom Groenlo is a challenging and nerve-wracking game based on the Battle of Grolle, which took place in the summer of 1627. The building in which the escaperoom is situated, played in important role in that period. It was the resistance's headquarters against the Spaniards who ruled Grolle back then. 4 centuries later you can return once again to the 17th century to complete an important mission amidst the encroaching war. Will you and your team be able to prevent the assisination of Prince Frederik Hendrik and make sure Grolle will be liberated?

The "University in Resistance" educational escape room is an initiative of the Radboud University in Nijmegen. The story told by the escape room is based entirely on true events, reconstructed and retold by historians of Radboud University. The escape room is therefore not just about having fun — it is also about learning lessons from history.
