Museo Archeologico di Gela

The museum was reasonably interesting but we probably only spent about half an hour there. None of the explanations/leaflets were in English, the staff on the day, didn't speak much English and displays are very traditional. However there are a lot of red and black vases and lots of coins.

At the end of the day, you either like it or you don't. Traveling through Europe a lot, you see a lot. I think this is one of the nicer ones to see. But as I said, a matter of taste. Be your own judge.

Beautiful shores, almost no facilities...just you, nature and history.. you can make snorkelling, swimmming with no sharks, but you can also have long walks whilst admiring outlooks and breathtaking sunsets ! you can also see a few stairs shaped on the rocks during the Operation Husky (WW2)
the right place to RELAX

Capo Soprano is a lively and wide quarter and it represents the real hearth of the city by my point of you.
Many bars and fast food, take away restaurants.
Don't miss to visit the 'Mura Timoleontee' (viale indipendenza) and the 'Bagni Greci' (via Europa).
A very short walk away from the sea as well!

It was closed when I went. Looked like no one had been around for years. I still drove all the way up to the gate. Even though I couldn't go it it was worth the drive up.

Chiesa del Carmine

Reviewed By ghelas - Sicily, Italy

Chiesa San Francesco d'Assisi
