The garden is home to a pair of breeding Verreaux's Eagles (Black Eagles) which have become proud symbols of this majestic garden. Walking, hiking, picnics, exercising, bird watching, relaxing, nature appreciation, are some of the popular activities of visitors to the garden.
Such an exquisite hidden gem! Stunning natural waterfall. Loved seeing the two black eagles nesting at the top of the waterfall. Saw many birds including the Golden Tailed Wood Pecker, Striped Kingfisher, African Hornbill, African Black Duck and a Sunbird amongst others and loads of weavers building their nests. Beautiful trails under the trees and a geological walkway. Remember to take binoculars and a camera with. It makes the spotting so much easier. Also a lovely restaurant to enjoy afterwards.

Nirox is definitely one of the best places to visit in the Cradle of Humankind. Look out for their regular art fairs or outdoor music shows. It's normally a bit pricy but well worth the experience.
