Unique in Canada! You can now rent an electric boat with its captain for a beautiful cruise on the Ottawa river. Your personal limousine on the water takes up to 10 passengers and has an alcohol license. Relax and enjoy the privacy of your own boat in company of associates, friends or family. Open everyday from mid-May to mid-October. The ideal cruise is between 2 and 3 hours and will take you to the most beautiful sites in the national capital region. 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa, this lake has two sandy beaches patrolled by lifeguards.
Beautiful and very peaceful place if you are lucky enough to get there early in the morning as it could get very crowded later in the day. The lake is so serene, the fall colors in full bloom are amazing. This is a must visit for hikers, nature lovers and photographers.

This vast and scenic Ottawa park is ideal for walking, biking or cross-country skiing and also houses the MacKenzie King Estate, once the home of Canada's former Prime Minister.
A must to visit! Gatineau park is just beautiful. Close to Ottawa, with so many lakes including Pink lake (green), trails, wildlife, breathtaking views especially from Belvèdere where you can see as far as the Outaouais River. Good variety of restaurants (Chelsea) it does not matter the season of the year, each one is unique in its own way. In Autunm enjoy the colors is just magic!!! My favorite place in the Outaouais.

Experience Canada’s history in exciting new ways. The Canadian Museum of History is a destination of choice in the National Capital Region. An architectural jewel designed by Canadian architect Douglas Cardinal, the Museum is less than five minutes from downtown Ottawa and Parliament Hill. Explore Canada’s rich history and the outstanding achievements of First Peoples. Marvel at the world’s largest indoor collection of totem poles. The Canadian History Hall, our signature exhibition, will let you discover the events, personalities and historical currents that have shaped Canada — from time immemorial to the present day.
We were here twice during the last four days, returning today for the special Neanderthal exhibition that opened today. It is outstanding, but the special “Unceded” exhibition, focusing on indigenous North American architecture, is also excellent. The two floors of Canadian history are a great improvement on what was available for view when this was still the Museum of Civilization. The Grand Hall offers the best selection of Northwest Pacific art and artifacts this side of the B.C. Provincial Museum in Victoria, and the Museum of Anthropology on the UBC campus in Vancouver. It leads into the “First Peoples” exhibition, which is also well worth your while. A special treat is the complete collection of Canadian and British North American postage stamps. Highly recommended!

I visit this area frequently, during all seasons actually. Beautiful walking path all around the lake, cycling is also a fun activity with many trails to different areas. There is a beach in the summer, very convenient spot.

Great place to visit, may be a bit hard for some to walk up from the parking lot, but worth it. Makes for great photos. A nice walk with flowers around, the 'prime minister's chalet ' more a tea and coffee area. Those ruins were the first places i visited as a kid and still is a joy to this day. I prefer spring or fall to visit but summer is good also
