Flows through Boise and provides more than 25 miles of scenic paths for biking, hiking and jogging.
You’ll love The Boise Greenebelt. It meanders for miles from the Lucky Peak area to Eagle Idaho. It runs along the Boise River right through the center of Boise. I’ve often seen deer, bald eagles and blue heron while walking the greenbelt. The greenbelt is great for running, sunning and biking. It runs through several city parks and is a must do while in Boise. The most recent addition to the greenbelt is bike rentals. Download the SoBi (social bikes) app and off you go. Keep in mind The Boise River is a powerful river, not a safe place to swim.

Telaya is located right next to the Boise River in Garden City. Sit out on the patio and watch bikers and walkers pass by on the Green Belt while you enjoy a bottle of exceptional wine. Our new space opened in early 2016, and we share it with another winery, Coiled. Our tasting room guests can enjoy wine from two Idaho winemakers with distinct styles of hand-crafted wine.
My husband spent time here while I did a little shopping. He enjoyed the wine greatly. I stopped in for a few minutes. Staff very friendly and nice atmosphere.

We were in Boise visiting grandkids. They wanted to go to the Village with the shops and attractions. It was a winter wonderland! The Christmas lights, tress and decorations created a warm and family environment. Seasonal music was playing. Kids were ice skating on a small outdoor arena. Vendors were selling hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls. Stores were varied and well kept. The entire scene was well put together.

Another great Boise park. The 41-acre park is nestled south of the Boise River across from Ann Morrison Park off Americana Boulevard. The park, meant to attract resident and migratory wildlife, is off-limits to vehicles and bicycles. Dogs are also banned during the waterfowl nesting season from March 1 to June 30. A two-mile aggregate path winds through the park and its shallow ponds.
On a recent visit, nearly a dozen white-tailed deer were calmly munching on grass and other vegetation as they strolled through the park.

This craft brewery has a good selection of beers, from IPAs to very different barrel aged brews. The customer service has always been very good. The bar is small, but the extra space added on is very nice and open. They have pub tables and couches.

This is a very tastefully constructed exhibit of Anne Franks life. Of all places around the US this exhibit in Boise is unique and possibly compensates for the Antisemitism and Anti-Civil Rights culture of Northern Idaho.

Incredible wines produced by Melanie and her crew. This is always the first winery I take out of town guests to. I've visited every winery in the region, and Cinder produces the finest wines in the state, hands down. They not only rival, but in my opinion, surpass most wines produced in California, Oregon and Washington as shown by copious amont of awards won for thier vintages every year. I have friends in Utah, Arizona and Washington that beg me to bring some Cinder wine with me when I come to visit. The renovations and remodel of the tasting room provides an open, warm and inviting atmosphere despite it's odd location in Garden City. I appreciate thier support of local artists, and efforts in giving back and supporting the community they call home. The winery is a great venue for parties and receptions, they have friendly and knowledgable staff, put on suberb wine release tastings for club members twice a year, and they never dissapoint when trying something new and different. If you're going to join a wine club in Idaho, this is definitely the one to choose. Be prepared to pay for the quality, because the wines are worth EVERY penny.

Meriwether Cider Company is a local family owned and operated hard cider company. We have a tasting room with 5-9 ciders on tap for drinking pints on-premise and growler fills and 22oz bottles for taking home. We have an outside patio and live music, food trucks, and other events on specific days. *Dogs and children are welcome*
Love, love, love Meriwether Cider Company. Awesome change of pace from beer and wine. All their cider is excellent! I cannot tell you which one is my favorite because they are all good. Great customer service, dog friendly, they give you popcorn while you enjoy their cider. They have a patio next door (though I have not checked it out yet).

Walked over one morning from our nearby hotel. Great park in the heart of the city. Well landscaped, great sidewalks, overall very well maintained. Building a new history museum at entrance, across the street is the Art museum and the zoo is in the heart of the park. Just across the river from BSU. Imagine it is even nicer in the spring and summer but was quite nice for a Feb. morning.

Split Rail is just one of five wineries that make up the District 44 wine area. Located in Garden City, which is literally next door to the state's largest city, Boise, these innovative winemakers and their tasty wines make this a must-stop in your travels to southwest Idaho. Jed Glavin, of Split Rail is no different. Among the unique features of this still-small winery are the wine growlers available under the Strange Folks label and the local micro brews on tap. Jed himself is beer-friendly, explaining, "I actually like a beer after a hard day's work." After visiting with Jed, be sure to check out Coiled which is located across the back alley. While there winemaker Leslie Preston will be happy to show and talk about Rizza, her new sparkling wine.
