A 40 minute direct ferry ride from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal, Galiano Island is a fabulous day trip destination for those seeking a taste of the Gulf Islands. From the spectacular white shell midden beaches at Montague Harbour, to the sandstone caves at Dionisio Point, to the art galleries and bohemian culture and shops at Sturdies Bay, this island's a wonderful place to explore for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. Note that the island is rather hilly and destinations are spread out. Having a car is recommended.

200 artists from along the west coat and across the country all contributed to this stunning 11 foot by 21 foot mural. This is at the Galiano Inn and Spa and you can buy copies of it. It's beautiful.

The cleanest, best equipped and friendliest campground we have visited ever. Great sites that are raked and cleaned between guests, clean pit toilets, delicious and plentiful drinking water and a location in the center of boating, hiking and memorable sunsets.

This is located on Burrill Point- you can see across Active Pass, Mayne Island and the Straight of Georgia-- you can see the ferries passing between the Gulf Islands.

The park explores bluffs and cliffs decorated in arbutus and Garry Oak trees. The trails and cliffside viewpoints reveal marine and ocean views. The views reach as far as Saltspring Island and include Mayne Island, Active Pass, Navy Channel and the Pender Islands.
Views over Active Pass are trumped by the dry Douglas Fir, Garry Oak & Arbutus ecosystem on the ridge. Magnificent!
