Play Street is an interactive children's museum created to inspire imaginations through dramatic play and encourage exploration through educational activities that have been thoughtfully curated specifically for kids 8 and under.
I absolutely love this city for kids. It is the cutest town where the kids' imagination can run wild. I even decided to have my daughter's 5th birthday here. The Play Street Museum has a grocery store, a bank, a petting store, a school, a fire station, etc. To watch the kids run, play, and laugh just brought joy to my heart. I worked very closely with Jaycie and she was amazing! I could not have asked for a more patient worker. Love this place!

We came to tour TrainTopia after our tour of the the Museum of the American Railroad. You can visit both places for a $15.00 ticket. We suggest doing both! It doesn't take long to see everything here, maybe 15 minutes or so. But we didn't do the scavenger hunt that the kids were doing. The N Scale layout that they have recently moved in from the Collin County mall (I hope I remembered that right!) is very interesting! Hopefully it will be operational, and have another spotlight or two soon. The docent from the railroad museum was nice enough to give us some information about that layout and it's history too.

The National Videogame Museum is the country's first dedicated videogame museum, established to document, preserve and exhibit our industry's rich history. This museum has 20 interactive exhibits on display including an 80s-themed arcade, gaming stations, an 80s room and more.
This museum has many working games going all the way back to the original Pong, and even more on display. Your admission includes some game tokens so you can play some of the vintage arcade games yourself. Fun for both kids, and "former kids".

Time ticketing was in effect so very few others were in the building and we felt very safe. There are a few facial-recognition interactive activities that were a blast. It's great for all ages. They have a very impressive trophy display including the Women's World Cup.

Climb aboard steam engine trains at this lively museum. Take a first-hand look at luxurious Pullman sleeping cars and Dallas's oldest depot.
We bought a combo ticket for the train museum, which consists of a guided walk outside around their huge exhibit of retired engines and cars, plus entrance to the large model train exhibit inside. Both parts were excellent and we spent about 2 hours total. The tour outside included information about a few of the engines, one of which you can climb in the cab, and a look inside a club car, first class sleeper car, and a caboose. They have zillions more cars that would be interesting but only a few are restored sufficiently to enter at this time. This walk is over train tracks and mobility-impaired people could not do it. The model train layout inside is incredibly detailed. Depending on how much you appreciate the craftsmanship, you could spend more or less time taking it in. It turns out that the Museum of the American Railroad is only one of several attractions in the same “Frisco Experience Center “. There is also a video game museum, a science discovery center, and an art gallery for local artists to sell their paintings. Across the parking lot there is also a museum collection of old restored houses from the area. Hence you could return to this complex a few times to see and do it all.
