Raised on the foothills of the Jura, this imposing fortress from the beginning of the 13th century is dominated by a large square dungeon surrounded by a large enclosure with adjoining houses, an outdoor boulevard, a cistern, ditches dug in the rock and a drawbridge doorway preceded by a remarkable barbican (200 m2). Owned by the Sires of Dramelay, this ensemble arrived in 1423 to Nicolas ROLIN, grand chancellor of the Dukes of Burgundy, who left many traces of his power.
