We visited the Fort Smith historical site today. It was very interesting to go into the historic buildings and see the old jail were they kept prisoners (76 of which were hanged on the nearby gallows) and the old courtroom were many were tried and sentenced. The grounds, buildings and exhibits all have signs explaining each item in detail. When you walk through and around the buildings and grounds it is easy to imagine what must have been like to be here in the 1800’s.

This is the third National Cemetery that I have visited. Every one of them brings tearful reflections for the brave soldiers who gave our nation the freedom we all enjoy! To see all the headstones reading “unknown soldier” is a somber reflection that somewhere a family will never know where their loved one lays at rest. Gratitude

Friendly Staff. Easy access. Loved this theme park, well worth the price. We went on a weekend and it got a little packed but not too bad, this park is well worth visiting. If someone doesn't want to get in the water, you can pay a spectator pass for $5. Very nice water park and prices aren't too bad, you can stay as long as you want....they close at 7PM. Family fun for all ages and has some handicapped spots for people with wheelchairs or scooters.

Disclaimer: the museum is mostly a tour of their workshop and viewing some paintings in another building which are so terrific they really need to have a much more public display. And yes, cats. If the above doesn’t appeal to you, just take the trolley ride for $4. This attraction runs solely on ride fares and contributions. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and I felt like I got a better overview of the city’s history on the ride than the other attractions
