Our Surf School is now running surf camps and teaching surfing lessons in Cocoa Beach, Florida. From beginner to advanced, we have professional, CPR certified instructors which are there to ensure your fun and safety during the class. Cocoa Beach Florida is well known for surfing, and offers us an ideal location to run our surf camps and teach private surfing lessons. There is a variety of other surf camps being run in the county, some of which are at breaks that are not the best for giving surfing lessons. Cocoa Beach Florida has long been considered one of the best areas in the world to go in and catch your first waves.Whether you have never touched a surfboard before or ready to move to the Nex level, Nex Generation Surf School will take you there. Longboard or shortboard, we have the instructor for you! We will have you in the water and surfing on your very first day at camp or lesson. We opened our doors in 1984 and in 1998 built our facility inside Kelly Park (right on the Banana River in Merritt Island). Tinho Dornellas, owner, is one of only two Master Instructors for Windsurfing in the US - and designer of Windsurfing & SUP boards and sails for multiple brands. We start our tours with a short instruction session on shore, then work with you while out on the water to ensure you are getting the most out of your experience. We provide bottled water, a small snack and take lots of digital photos while we are out on the water. We modify our routes to account for wind conditions and where we've been seeing wildlife. We paddle in the mangroves off the main Indian River Lagoon, which provides us with rich wildlife and bird sightings. We never guarantee manatee or dolphins will be in our area, since they are wild animals. But, we try to go to areas where we have seen them in the past few days. We launch from a privately owned boat ramp off of A1A and Old Florida Trail rd. The launch facility has bathrooms, plenty of parking and is well maintained. In addition, the facility is listed as a Florida Historical Site.

We have had the privilege of sharing our tours with people 7 days a week, five times a day for the last 8 years straight! We have boards for all ages, sizes and experience levels. Most people who come out on tour with us have never tried paddle boarding so we start every tour with an on ground demonstration and lesson. Then there is a calm bay where everyone has a chance to try it out and get comfortable. If anyone still does not feel comfortable, we have 1, 2 and 3 person kayaks on site that we can switch to. Once we set off on our adventure we will do a circle around an Island, where we will go under 8 bridges, through the Yatch Club along side all of the Yatchs, we will go through small winding canals always close to shore and in relatively shallow water. We will go through multiple spots that have a high concentration of Manatees and the Dolphin are everywhere! Your SUP tour is guaranteed to be amazing with great memories to share when you go home.
