After visiting the area catholic churches, we finally made Santa Maria del Mar our parish. There are so many opportunities to become an active church member. There is tremendous spiritual joy from attending mass here.

A first visit for us today but hopefully not our last. We walked on trails through beautiful woodlands and marshlands after touring the sugar mill area filled with history and then ended up at the four hundred year old live oak. There were hikers and bikers of all ages enjoying the beautiful day in the great outdoors.

Apparently this place is hard to get reservations but found a solitary Saturday night open on October 31 and stayed here for the night in our RV. It’s an awesome campground. Pet friendly but you can’t bring your dog on the beach in front of the park you have to go to the south or north end. The south end has a gate easy to get to the beach and our dog loved it. Would love to stay longer but with the reservation system online it seems like all the camping spots in Central Florida where we live are always booked up. They need to have a better system for people to cancel because there were several spots at this campground that went unused over the weekend which I’m sure other people would’ve liked to use. Even though it said all spots were reserved online . The Rangers were very nice to check in and the bathrooms clean like the other reviews have said. I would definitely like to stay here longer to enjoy the beach and possibly bring a boat as there is a boat ramp here are the access to the intracoastal. The other campers were very friendly and had well behaved dogs. A bicycle would be good too because the sidewalks go north and south forever. Beautiful site, love to see these well-managed state parks so much better than private campgrounds that are always gross and too close to each other. Will be back

This is a great walk and it's free! Can't beat that, it has boardwalk and trail and restrooms. Plenty of places to park but it has never felt crowded. It's always different every time we go there because of the scenery is always changing depending on the time of day, the season, the temp., etc.

This beach is so unique in comparison to almost every other FL beach, and I love it for that! The sand is this cool orangish color because it’s a mix of actual sand and crushed sea shells, and it almost gives you this other-worldly feel.. It’s also really spongey so it’s a good workout just to walk a ways. I felt much more at peace here than some other beaches- it’s not as touristy so it’s much more chill than some of the more mainstream FL beaches and it’s a great change up. There are huge waves- perfect for surfing or boogey boarding. But that being said, the waves hit the shore pretty hard even up close so just something to be aware of if you’re bringing kids. They have a big pier to fish off of and bathrooms and rinse station. Only bad thing about the pier is you have to pay to enter. Right across the street (A1A) all along the road there are dozens of restaurants, shops, and other businesses all within walking distance of the beach, it’s so cool and nice to have everything so close by! Flagler is also a half hour from St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, so it’s a great place to stay for a few days that’s quite but you can still see more of the coast. I think this is one of the coolest beachtowns I’ve been to yet. You gotta come here at least once just to experience how different it is!

Very nice little park at the base of the bridge that enters Flagler Beach. It has a skateboard park area, clean restrooms, a picnic shelter, tennis courts, soccer field, basketball courts, baseball fields, walking trail, and a Boardwalk where you can see different kinds of birding wildlife, alligators and turtles. Ample parking, there is also little playground,,, very nice for families!!
