Curious Escape Room is the first live action escape room in Central MA. Located in downtown Fitchburg, get shrunk and enter THE DOLLHOUSE or go back in time to 1999 and find a movie at THE VIDEO STORE. You and your team enter the room. Around the room there are locks, combos and clues hidden around. Like a scavenger hunt, together, solve a series of puzzles to complete your mission. You have 60 minutes.
We had a blast. Booked the 90's video store for a birthday party. We were a group of 8. Excited teenage girls made it a little hard to stay focused but the staff kept us on track with some help. Will definitely be back with my department at work for team building!

If you are in the Fitchburg area, it is worth checking out this small art museum. We really enjoyed the Egypt exhibit, including art that was on loan from the MFA in Boston. There are a few interactive elements of the exhibit including a simulation of what it would be like to access a pyramid....just make sure to duck low enough. In addition to the Egypt exhibit, we enjoyed the Evoking Eleanor (artist and founder of the museum) and African/Oceanic art exhibits. The Eleanor exhibit had paintings as well as furniture from the Eleanor Norcross exhibit. Even with an event occurring at the time of the exhibit, we were able to find parking.

We're really pulling for River Styx Brewing, because it's got to be particularly tough during the pandemic for a small, independent brewery like this to stay afloat. But they're trying their best. They recently reopened the taproom, but our visit was while they still were employing the parking lot for a beer garden. They've done a great job of distancing, sanitizing and meeting state guidelines by providing food from a couple of different sources. They even had live music. But none of it would matter if the beer wasn't great, which it is. Our favorites were the Venom of Cerberus (Triple N.E. IPA) and Moria (Imperial Double Stout), but everything we've tried is fresh and well crafted. I wish them much luck and hope they can weather this pandemic.

Two splash playgrounds with slides for toddlers and preschoolers, Wild water slides for thrill seekers, a wave pool and huge hot tub that’s half indoors and half outdoors, and more. What’s not to like?
