Lying at the very top of Europe, Finnmark is the northernmost part of Norway that reaches around Sweden and meets Finland. This is the heart of Norwegian Lapland, where Karasjok is the cultural and political seat of Sami life. Though Norway's biggest county by size, Finnmark has the fewest people. Alta, the biggest city with just 17,000, is called the Town of Northern Lights for its great views of the phenomenon. Alta Museum is largely devoted to local rock carvings from thousands of years ago.

Join us and experience the arctic wilderness Drive onto the remote Finnmark mountain plateau, one of Europe's last wilderness areas. We'll go across the Beskades plain to Soulovoupmi Lodge where we make a short break and enjoy a hot meal before returning to Gargia. All you need is a regular driving licence, a thorough safety introduction and driving instruction will be given before we start.

No adventure to the North Cape is complete whiteout visiting the most northern part. The trail is 9Km and it is quite ruff terrain so expect that it will take around 6h to walk. But it is well worth it.
