The fairways are silky smooth as are the greens. The views are stunning especially the holes that run along the coast. A course with a lot of difficulty, but there is a booklet with instructions to every hole to help guide you to a better lie of the ball. Had a great day, take fiji dollars as the staff come around selling water from the carts. Also locals selling golf balls (as you may need to replace a few!) long grasses, lakes and drains. Try and book early as the wind comes up just before lunch, making it harder. It can get very hot also. Such a beautiful course.

My husband and I played four rounds at Denerau between Christmas 2018 and New Year 2019. Lovely tee boxes and greens, rough was a little longer than we expected on a resort course but it was holidays so maybe the staff were spending family time. Take extra balls as there is a lot of water. Fantastic clubhouse bar where you are always greeted with a “Bula” and a fantastic smile from the marvellous staff. Buckets of beer are very affordable and all the food we tried was delicious. Rounds of golf aren’t as cheap as we thought $440 for prepaid rounds each (we took our own clubs) - especially with the conditions of the course but as golf fanatics we played anyway. Would definitely return and play again, but recommend taking water to the course with you as $9.50 for a 1 litre bottle on the course is a bit steep, small esky chillybins with ice would be a good idea.
