Hello! I'm Steve Brazendale, the Scottish Countryman. I offer falconry, archery, fishing and countryside retreats for people who want to experience Scotland's countryside and try something a little different. In fact, something unique! Perfect for holidays, headspace and celebrations but also just for the heck of it. If you do falconry with me, you'll be able to get up close to birds of prey and learn about them and the story of my becoming a falconer. Archery is great for all ages and abilities and you'll get full instruction and unlimited arrows. I put together countryside retreats for groups of up to 10, delivering a time of relaxation, growth and reflection. But most of all I love what I do, so I aim to deliver an entertaining and absorbing experience with first-class service. The Scottish Countryman experiences are ideal for families & large groups, stag & hen parties, birthdays & corporate days out. In 2 half hours make an elegant clear glass candle with silver lid and a hand travel candle. Learn about scenting, wax and wicks with luxury ingredients. Ideal for girly (and gents) days out, corporate of self esteem building. Candle School™ Workshops are now in their 3rd year. The workshops previously ran from my home and moved to the Murray Studios in September 2017.

Want to make your own gin? Located in the historically beautiful Rusacks Hotel, St. Andrews, and overlooking the iconic 18th hole of the Old Course, we have created a classroom dedicated to flavour. It is here that we are excited to introduce our new gin blending masterclass. In our Blendworks gin blending sessions, we will take you through how we make our gin and the history of gin itself before going through some blind tasting and nosing to help find the ideal botanicals for your very own gin. If you've gone for a more unorthodox combination then do not worry, you will get the chance to try it out before committing to the recipe! You then name your gin before hand blending and bottling your creation, ready to take away in a presentation pack. Even better, we save your receipe on the system so you can reorder it again in the future! We also operate as a shop for our range of beer, gin and whisky and can offer expert advice and samples to help find the ideal product.

Edenside is a fully equipped riding school that offers liveries and lessons to anyone aged 5 or over. We cater for people of all abilities from beginners to advanced riders. We have 2 outdoor arenas and an indoor school so even a rainy Scottish day wont stop you riding! Edenside Stables is easily accessible from St Andrews by car, bus or the scenic bike route.
