This monument is an unbelievable place with unique architecture and 2500 years history, which was the first United Nations of the world and was built by Achaemenid Darius,a Persian king. This site is 125000 SQ.m. with 9 palaces and 3000 reliefs. It is 60 k.m far from Shiraz and located near Naqsh-e-Rostam and Pasargad in Shiraz- Esfahan highway. Around this site you can serve local foods.

Shiraz is a must-see in Iran. You should spend at least two full days to visit the city. It's a small city which can be visited by foot or local taxis. The bazaar and Vakil Ensemble (Hammam, Mosque) can be visited over a few hours, and there are several traditional Persian Gardens to visit, which are quite famous, such as Eram Garden. Also, the Pink Mosque (Nasir ol Molk) is an absolute must-see to visit, preferably in the morning to enjoy the color reflections. Shiraz is one of the most liberal cities of Iran and has a nice atmosphere, with nice cafes to spend time at.

One of the best shrines of Shiraz, 1 of the best muslim holy sites I have ever visited. Beside the stunning glass/mirror interior, the relaxing and meditative garden and the warm hospitality and great spiritual chat with the two girls in the visitors' area (I forgot their names, shame on me...) will give you a great religious experience, similar if not better than many other places in Shiraz (that still remains quite a liberal city considering the amount of religious sites). It's free entrance, freedom to take picture and ask questions (of course, pay respect to the pilgrims who are visiting and praying the tomb). Non muslims and foreigners are warmly welcome and you feel like a guest of honor all the time. Very close to Hafez Tomb.

This castle is really old and ancient. Considering the age of the castle , the maintenance has been acceptable. The walls and some domes still standing tough after centuries of rain and wind and sunlight and .... If you are in shiraz it's really worth paying a visit. The surrounding area and the pond have relaxing atmosphere and there are lots of good points to take nice photos. By the way I recommend visitors to devote almost two more hours to visit Hayghar Canyon , not so far from this castle. It's correctly called "The Grand Canyon of Iran". You must drive eastward from Firuzabad via Qir road and then turn right and head to the canyon. (It can be found easily on Google Maps.) If you find the correct vista point , you can see one of the most magnificent and amazing canyons of the world. (My personal opinion)

This beautiful garden is by far, my most favorite place to visit in Shiraz. Even though it is not on the list of primary tourist attractions, but it is definitely a respite from the hustle and bustle, and tourists should make a stop for a visit. Beautifully manicured lawns, interesting trees, plants and flowers with traditional Persian water features, and a mansion, you’ll hear birds chirping in this garden all the time. The garden is enclosed by a beautiful brick wall and it offers a sanctuary to spend a couple of tranquil hours. This is a must when in Shiraz. There is a gift shop available, plus a couple of nice cafes and restaurants across the street.
