Färjestaden is a locality situated in Mörbylånga Municipality, Kalmar County, Sweden with 5,018 inhabitants in 2010. It is located in the southern part on the island of Öland and is named after the ferries that used to be the only connection to the mainland. Nowadays the car-bridge Ölandsbron connects the mainland with the island, and Färjestaden has had an impressive population increase, making it several times bigger than the town Mörbylånga.

This park has three parts, the animals, the rides and the water park. There is really a lot to do! We were there in one of the few rainy days in the otherwise very sunny summer of 2018 and the amount of people was very reasonable. We went mostly for the water park since we are used to Liseberg for amusement parks and Kolmården for zoos but were happily surprised by the zoo. Especially the monkeys that have walkways above us visitors were they can run around which took them closer than usual to us. The amusement park has oldish rides but our kids were happy to try everything. The water park is great! There is a big play area with water spraying all the time and more water coming down every 3 minutes. Then there are MANY water slides. We spent many hours here with the kids being very much entertained. There is also a normal swimming pool and two smaller pools for younger kids or others who don't want to get sprayed with water. We learnt the hard way that you shouldn't leave your clothes in the changing rooms (we had items stolen). There are lockers that cost 10 kr and that you have to pay every time you need to open the locker. Besides the main attractions there are many play grounds to hang out in. Do take a map at the entrance, we didn't and it was a bit hard to navigate the park in a good way. We highly recommend a visit!
