Fareham (/ˈfɛərəm/ FAIR-əm) is a market town at the north-west tip of Portsmouth Harbour, between the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton in the south east of Hampshire, England. It gives its name to the borough that comprises the town and its surrounding area. It was historically an important manufacturer of bricks (notably used to build the Royal Albert Hall, London) and a grower of strawberries. Current employment includes retail (including Fareham Shopping Centre with around 100 shops), small-scale manufacturing, and defence (with the Royal Navy's HMS Collingwood and the Ministry of Defence's Defence Science and Technology Laboratory nearby).

My partner and I went to Titchfield Haven today. We unwittingly turned up without booking, which we didn't realise we had to do due to the current Covid situation. The Visitor Centre very kindly looked for us and as there were a couple of spaces available, said we could come back in a short while and visit the reserve anyway! Spent several hours walking around, visiting the pond, the hides and just generally enjoying a beautiful day. Saw numerous birds, butterflies, creatures and creepy crawlies. Had a fabulous few hours and got some fantastic views around the reserve, also took my camera and managed to get some good shots too. We really should visit more often and I would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone with any interest in nature; or anyone who just enjoys a walk with lots of peace and quiet and stunning views! Well worth a fiver each admission, the cafes great too.

Lovely woodland area. To walk around the whole area takes a good couple of hours, ideal if you want a long walk or jog with nice scenery.

Had great time exploring Titchfield Abbey. Parking was insider and it was free, such a beautiful place, we went on a sunny weekend day and it was still not busy at all, few dog walkers and other visitors, but felt like really hidden gemstone in this area. Went to the pub that is just opposite the abbey - brilliant!! Totally recommend A++++
