So I visited the last day that the museum was open for the 2019 season, and it was jam-packed and lively. The local community stormed the place and provided an incredibly lively experience. Almost everyone present was dressed up as a service member from WW2, or in dresses from the 1940s. They drove up in cars from the 1930s and 1940s, to include old willy jeeps. It was unique and special. The museum is laid in several old quanset huts or original buildings. Each one has a particular theme. One resembles what the commanding officer's office, chaplain's quarters, and briefing room looked like. Another is filled with a massive model of the whole base and allows one to see it's size and where present day buildings are in comparison. Another room is a more traditional museum with items from the 95th BG, and stories of their missions, and what life was like in the 1940s. It is very detailed and tells the story well. The final rooms are a dance floor and officer's club bar. These are still functioning, and add an incredibly lively spice to the visit. As most airmen's lives revolved around women and liquor when not flying, this feels appropriate. It is also free to enter. (drinks cost more) I recommend it to everyone.

Welcome to Beyond the Image Photographers' Gallery. This is a unique place of opportunity in the heart of Suffolk. Established in 2005, the gallery is a not-for-profit organisation run by a group of like-minded photographers who exhibit their own work through quarterly themed Photographic exhibitions. The gallery space also allows the group to give something back to the community in the form of guest exhibitions, by hosting guest exhibitions on our famous Flint Wal or new white walls. These can be Art of any medium, either 2D or 3D, or photography. The wall can booked at very reasonable cost.
Interesting photos on display and some lovely cards for sale. A good cafe around the corner and another art/gift shop all make Thornham Walks well worth a visit

We started brewing in 2014 after falling in love with craft beer in the USA. Taking inspiration from the history of our local USAF bases and our friends at The Red Feather Club, Station 119 was born. After two years of brewing in a shed we moved to our current premises in Eye, using our 20 HL brewhouse and fermenters. We brew modern hop focused beers with a year-round core range and seasonals.

This is a lovely place to go for a picnic on a summer's afternoon. The castle remains are good to explore and you can go right to the top to get lovely views of the town and surrounding countryside. There are picnic tables and benches in the grounds and what's more it is free!

The beautiful village of Brome lies on the Norfolk Suffolk border and home to the Oaksmere Hotel, a grade II listed building which stands amongst 23 acres of tranquil gardens and woodland. Appreciate the beauty of Eastern England on your flight as you take in the views of the rural landscape which dominates these beautiful counties.
Thornham Walled Garden is situated within Thornham Magna, and is a 2-acre Victorian Walled garden that has been lovingly restored and is now tended by adults with additional needs who attend day services at 'Beyond The Wall'. The garden is open Mon-Fri 10am -3pm and entry is free (doantions to the work of Beyond The Wall reg. charity no. 292229 are welcomed). Highlights include a double herbaceous border, orchard, mirror rose borders, fruit and vegetable production, established grapevines and a 'tropical' glasshouse containing a wide range of succulents. The 'Glasshouse tearooms' is open Mon-Fri with last orders at 2.30pm. We provide teas, coffee, homemade cakes and savoury treats such as sausage rolls and cheese scones. Visitors are always welcome, but are kindly reminded that the tearooms staff are 'in training' and so a dollop of patience and empathy with service is appreciated in return for very reasonable prices and excellent quality cakes!
