Recently four of us experienced an authentic Estonian smoke sauna to learn about the country culture and practices in a unique and wonderful way. We met the most knowledgeable practitioner, Eda at her beautiful farm. We had a delightful and fascinating experience in the sauna, moist wood heated stones, a salt scrub, mud scrub, stimulating circulation with leafy branches. Throughout the sauna, the associated folk traditions were told by Eda through stories, drumming and repeating mantras. The pond nearby provided a cooling dip (for those who want the real experience). We were also able to sample the local food and meats smoked at the farm. This was an amazing visit on our tour and is highly recommended for those interested in folk lore. The sauna is on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage due to the efforts in Eda's interest in preserving these country traditions. Plan on at least 3 hours. An unforgettable experience.

In june July and August we are open every day from 10.00 - 18.00From Meet our alpacas, llamas, goats, Ouesannt sheeps(smallest sheepbreed in the world) angorabunnies and or dog Mia. Buy alpaca souvenirs or refreshments in our farmshop.
Had a lively visit to the farm with helpful and friendly staff who were calling the animals to come closer and offered explanations. Do not expect a petting zoo. The visitors, especially children are told to behave near the animals and not to startle them as lamas and alpacas are not your average household pets. This is fair also to the animals who would otherwise be simply too stressed. We did have lovely time watching the alpacas graze, chase each other and got to give them a few carrots as well as to meet the baby miniature lamb up close. The farm also has a very nice gift shop that sells handicraft woolen items. Great day with family.

Do you know how gentle and caring can a seemingly large animal be? Have you ever put you cheek against cows, looked in her eyes and listened her breathe? Come and meet the childish calves and busy dairy cows. Come and see the process from the field to your table.

GoodKaarma is a unique ecofarm which makes organic soaps. In summer our doors are open to everyone. Our outdoor cafe offers drinks and snacks, while our gift shop has a wide range of interesting souvenirs, jewellery, soaps and more. Those interested can even take part in soap-making workshops!
I visited Good Kaarma as part of a G Adventures tour I was traveling with. The owners have done a great job creating an inviting, warm environment that radiates with loving energy. The morning that we went to Good Kaarma to learn more about soap making, my stomach wasn't feeling well. Our tour guide told the owner and she immediately made me a hot drink with apple cider vinegar and within 30 minutes I felt like a new person. The soaps smell so good and are made with all natural ingredients. I would highly encourage making this a stop if you visit Saaremaa Island.

This mini-zoo in the village of Kipi is constantly being joined by new residents. At present it is home to animals fairly typical of Saaremaa, such as horses, goats and rabbits, but you will also see some more exotic creatures, such as degu and llamas. In addition to its animals, the farm offers other attractions you are welcome to try your hand at, including archery.
Lusika tourism farm is located in a beautiful natural setting in Tarvastu municipality, 25 km outside of Viljandi. The farm won the President of Estonia’s award in 1998 for the most beautiful home decoration. Its 1.5-hectare gardens are sure to delight all lovers of gardening. Visitors can also make use of the health tracks and ritual grounds on the farm. Guests are also welcome to join the fasting camps held at the farm.
