Looking for an experience with a difference? At White Dragon, we have a passion for archery - the sport, its history, and the satisfying thunk of your arrow into its target. Nothing pleases us more than teaching archery to others, whether we meet you at an experience day on our beautiful outdoor ranges, a have-a-go activity session at a festival, a zombie archery birthday party, or one of our beginner’s longbow courses. Archery Coaching Whatever your ability, we can teach you. Our coaches create a fun atmosphere with an emphasis on having fun. There’s nothing sweeter than the first time your arrow hits its mark! Hands-on history With a long and interesting history, the bow and arrow have truly shaped the world we live in. Want to learn more? You can learn all about the evolution of archery, including the chance to shoot fire arrows and try on medieval armour, in one of our ten-week courses. We also provide a have-a-go archery stall and talks for festivals and events.
A great day out with Sam our instructor. She helped us all with full instruction and tips to help us along the way. Moving through the woods to try different targets.

I have been twice to this arena with a group of friends who are regulars, having social difficulties this was obviously very daunting initially. However, the staff are excellent, very welcoming, attentive to your needs and others and to top it off, explain everything in clear and concise detail. If there is anything that isn't clear, the staff are always on hand to clarify. I have been to both a weekend skirmish (a Saturday which was fully booked) and a range hire yesterday evening. The skirmish was run and monitored brilliantly, I got there early so I could get my bearings and everything was explained to me very well, from how the skirmish was going to be run to how gaining membership and UKARA works. The skirmish ran very smoothly, games were varied and the martials keeping a watchful eye were great, unfortunately that night there was a couple of players who made inappropriate shots to the back of someone's head and a couple who didn't take their hits when shot at, however this was quickly dealt with by the martials and treated very seriously. After the intervention by the martials/staff the rest of the night went on without any issues. As for using the range, we were greeted by the staff as we arrived, signed in, got our safety gear and were allowed free reign on the two range points we had hired, we were offered paper targets which we declined as my friend had bought his own. My friend also bought his own firearms for us to use at the range, however there are also hire guns that are provided by the arena, I have not used these guns so I can't make a comment on them, that being said the people who used these hire guns at the skirmish didn't experience any issues using them to my knowledge which in my opinion is to be expected from guns with such heavy usage. The arena itself is very small and quite cosy, perfect for an absolute novice such as myself. I am 6ft 6" tall and the size of a small car and I didn't experience any feelings of being cramped or uncomfortable. Occasionally the range will also be opened up to use in a skirmish if there is enough people thus adding to the size, this was the case when I went to the skirmish previously mentioned. The site also has a shop to buy airsoft gear, guns, attachments etc, as well as drinks and such for the breaks in between games, for a small shop the range of items is actually quite staggering, they even have their own milkshakes which I am yet to try. So far I have purchased membership with them, have two UKARA signatures and some decent gloves as getting shot in the fingers is in no way fun or desirable, the prices are very reasonable, again given the size of the site. It should be noted that you don't have to play all games, I sat out a couple with a friend and spent the entire time chatting with the shop staff which was a laugh, even after we finished our hour at the range, we ended up chatting with one of the owners for well over half an hour. All in all, a very friendly arena, perfect for beginners, accommodating staff, helpful regulars, definitely will continue going.
