Rome wasn't built in a day--and you'll need much more than a day to take in this timeless city. The city is a real-life collage of piazzas, open-air markets, and astonishing historic sites. Toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain, contemplate the Colosseum and the Pantheon, and sample a perfect espresso or gelato before spending an afternoon shopping at the Campo de’Fiori or Via Veneto. Enjoy some of the most memorable meals of your life here, too, from fresh pasta to succulent fried artichokes or a tender oxtail stew.

Palazzo Barberini

Roman palace worth visiting for its splendor and collection of art, especially its gigantic ceiling fresco of clouds and swirling figures by Italian painter-architect Pietro da Cortona.

The place offers an extended timetable. The building itself is made by famous Italian artist. The pictures2 collection is a must for any Italian art lover. Pictures are allowed and picture2s display is very attractive and done with charm. Guercino and Piero di Cosimo pictures as Medieval display are quite attractive. Do not miss if you love Italian art.

Stazione Roma Termini

Reviewed By 476jael - Long Island, United States

Roma Termini is a very busy station accommodating huge number of trains and passengers everyday. In the old days, it used to face vairous property crimes and it also had inadequate facilities for the passengers. But the station has changed signicantly in recent years. The last time we visited Roma Termini was September 2018, when we arrived at the station from Lenonardo da Vinci International Airport via Leonardo Express in order to transfer to an express train (Trenitalia Frecciarossa) to Florence (Firenze). The security had also been significantly improved with many more uniformed security personnel on patrol. Entrances from the station lobby to the train platrforms were well guarded by security officers, checking train tickets for those who tried to enter the platform area, which discouraged potential pickpockets, purse snatchers, and swindlers. The train station facilities, incluing the lobbies, ticket windows, ticekt vending machines, shops, restaurants, and passenger waiting lounge, had significantly improved. We really liked the waiting area at the mezzanine level near the center of the entrances to platforms. The spacious waiting area with good restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, food court style tables with chairs, free wifi, digital train arrival/departure information boards, restrooms and nice views of the train track area could be accessed via escalator, elevator, and stairs. This train station is located at the city center with easy access to both Metro Lines A & B trains through the entrances/exits insided the Termini. Buses are available in the plaza just outside the terminal. The tobacco shops/news stands inside terminal sell metro or bus tickets. But the multi-day BIG tourist tickets are sold in special ATAC booth outside the terminal building in Piazza dei Cinquecento with buses. There are many hotels, ranging 2-star to 5-star, within easy walking distance from the station.
