A cabbie told us that this pub has the best Guinness in Ennis. Is this possible? We decided to do some research. Our bar tender at the Diamond explained that they keep the barrel near the tapper. (Although, he was careful not to put down the neighboring pubs.) All this to keep a shorter line for the dark beer to travel and avoid contamination. The place, the bar tender and everything else was charming. The Guinness tasted the same to me but we enjoyed the research.

Overall the best food we had in Ennis during our stay. Everything was amazing, the soup was incredible, the chicken stir fry was the best I ever had, my partner cleaned his plate of chicken pepper sauce. The staff were so helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Cocktails were lovely, pints were fantastic. Really couldn't fault anything other than am sorry only got to come here once as would have loved to have tried more dishes

My husband and I ate dinner here tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved its traditional Irish Pub ambiance and decor. The food was delicious, too. We had a starter platter with Chicken Wings, Ribs, Corn on the Cob and Onion Rings. Did not eat it all and what we did eat was delicious. I then had the Hake Fish and Chips (my first during our Ireland trip) and they were great. My husband had the baby back ribs and they were so tender and delicious. We finished it off with Hot Tea and a brownie and ice cream desert and an Apple Crumble. It was the perfect place we wanted to eat for our last night in Ireland!
