Bergenpac is located conveniently in the center of Englewood, there is ample parking around and many good restaurants nearby.
The venue is spacious and seating is very comfortable and sound is pretty good too.
The venue is used for anything from community events to world class performers.
They do a lot of education and local community outreach.
It is a local gem, offering drama and variety, comedy shows, classical music and ballet and more.
The volunteers and staff are very nice and responsive as well.
Good for everyone really, including older patrons and families with younger children depending on performance.

The north section in Leonia has been open for many years but last year, the southern part was renovated, a new environmentally friendly bridge was installed to cross the Overpeck; new playing fields in the Ridgefield Park section, walking/biking/jogging trails begin in Leonia and head over to Ridgefield Park. Amphitheater on the Ridgefield Park side has had concerts. Watch the horses go through their paces on the Leonia side. Dog park is on the north side, kayak/canoe launch on the south side. Load s of parking and beautiful views of the creek/lake. Incredible to have this treasure 5 minutes from the GWB. Bus 172 from the NY side of the GWBBS takes you down Fort Lee Road to the entrance of the park (or Rockland Bus line 11A runs on Grand Avenue and stops at Fort Lee Road (2 blocks east of the park). If you're in the Ridgefield Park side watching the kids in the playing field and look east, you'll see the skyline of midtown Manhattan (and the World Trade Center).
Had fun with Kayaking. The Kayak rentals are to the right of Fort Lee Road/Overpeck Park Driveway intersection, via the wooden bridges. The staff there were quite friendly and helpful. Just a note that Canoes are not available everyday there, so better inquire before visiting. Kids under 5 are not allowed, and kids under 8 are allowed on canowe ONLY with two accompanying adults. Also went to the dinosaurs field station nearby.

We love the Bergen County Zoo. It is a family favorite! We are members and they have many great activities all year long! Wonderful new updates and fantastic programs. My kids go to their zoo camp for a week in the summer as well! Love it!

This is the best part of living in the area. It's great to take friends and family every time they visit. Between the river, season and weather, it's a diffident view and experience every time. It's a wonderful place to take photos and get away. The only downfall is some rather large groups of rude or loud people or people with their dogs off leash, bad parents/children or people flying drones.
**note to personnel -- please enforce leash, noise and drone rules.

Located in the Bronx, just 20 minutes from Midtown Manhattan via Metro North Railroad, the 250-acre New York Botanical Garden is a showplace of nature in every season of the year and a must-see destination for NYC visitors. Discover 50 breathtaking gardens, indoor rain forests and deserts, 50 acres of native forest, a river, waterfalls, and rolling green hills. Major seasonal exhibitions and events complement the existing beauty of the permanent gardens, and highlights include the Holiday Train Show (November - January) and The Orchid Show (March - April). NYBG is the perfect excursion for visitors looking to experience the natural beauty of New York City.
The annual Orchid Show is one of the highlights of the year. While wonderful in the day -on Friday and Saturday nights, the NYBG sells ticket for 6:30, 7:30or 8:30 entrance. Go for the 6:30 entrance as you will get to see the gorgeous flowers in day light as well as artfully lit in the evening. Plus music is piped in and there are three bar stations. What a fun and beautiful evening experience.

After not going to a theater for many many years, we went here to see a small independent film. Tickets during the day were just $5 each and that cannot be beat. The theater itself was a bit small, but seats were comfy and floor was clean. Street parking in the area is available, although I am sure it may get tough on the weekends.

no frills 4 floors of simple delight. service is readily available though usually without a smile. clean, reliable, well worth the money. the design is atrocious but oh well... you can't have everything. the point is in the heat that's readily available really everywhere, starting with the worm floors and going all the way to the hottest/largest sauna next to the juice joint. smaller less hot saunas are also abundant as are places to rest including cozy corners where one can simply lay on the worm ceramic floor. overall, an excellent half day of the whole day trip to rejuvenation. highly recommended, especially in the cold seasons.

A small, beautiful preserve and nature center situated on the western slope of the Palisades; there are four miles of relatively easy hiking trails, with many interesting sights.
Flat Rock Brook Nature Center was established in 1973 to preserve one of the last remnants of the Palisades forest as a natural sanctuary for plant and animal life. It is available to the public for trail walks, nature study and other passive recreation.
In 2013, a new educational dock overlooking Quarry Pond was completed. Its hexagonal shape provides a better viewing platform for school groups that visit the Nature Center. The Nature Center building (restrooms included) has been renovated and the pond dredged to provide an improved water habitat for wildlife.
Trails Overview:
The park contains a compact network of seven marked trails totaling roughly 4 miles.
This park is only a couple of miles from the George Washington Bridge, and I've often stopped on my way to or from NYC -- either way, it refreshes my soul.

A last minute activity to offset a blistering heat day. A real treasure in Tenafly NJ easily missed, but loaded with artifacts from Africa with great classic features in modernity. A wonderful find.
