What to do and see in Embajadores, Community of Madrid: The Best Nightlife

January 20, 2022 Weston Hennigan

So many of Madrid’s buildings look like castles, you’ll think you’ve stumbled into a fairytale. Even City Hall is astounding, with its white pinnacles and neo-Gothic features. A self-guided architecture tour can begin by the great bear statue in the central Puerta del Sol. Wander by the fanciful Royal Palace before absorbing the natural beauty of Retiro Park, then visit one of the city’s many museums. You could happily cap off each day by nibbling on forkfuls of paella while sipping Spanish rioja.

Madrid & Darracott

Luke and Roque have made the lookdown period so much more bearable with their online wine tastings. They even made the trouble to send me wine to Portugal. The boxes have been a great mix and have made me try wines that I probably wouldn't have experienced otherwise. Their knowledge about everything wine; grapes, regions, history and food pairings is obvious. All talked about in a fun and relaxed way. Next time I'll visit Madrid a "real life" wine tasting at Madrid & Darracottwill be my priority. Susanne

Casa Patas, Flamenco en Vivo

The reigning Queen of Flamenco, Sara Baras, holds court at this fun flamenco bar.

Wonderful experience! Did not have dinner, only attended the show. I purchased tickets (which included a drink) ahead of time. The venue was small and intimate, a perfect ambiance for flamenco. The dancing was incredible - intense, emotional, & passionate. The dancers seemed very professional & quite technical, and the guitarists were very skilled as well. This was the only flamenco I attended in Spain, so I cannot compare to other venues, but I truly enjoyed myself and thought the show was incredible!

Vinicola Mentridana

Charming tavern with an exquisite selection of wines, cheeses, sausages, toasts and Mediterranean salads. In addition to good wine and quality food you can enjoy cocktails prepared with care, in a cosmopolitan and intergenerational environment, where good conversation and culture are present.
