Excavation at "Jewel of the Ceren", a pre-Columbian Mayan farming village, that was buried under a volcanic eruption around 600 A.D.
We did a tour of this site with Eduardo from Salvadorean Tours and he and the location were amazing. With Eduardo’s local knowledge the site came to life. Well worth a stop

Had Mass at this wonderful church in Suchitoto. Located beside the Park, its Colonial style is very nice. Well preserved and maintained. A true gem in Suchitoto.

It is a beautiful modern church located in San Salvador down town. It has spectacular rainbow stained glass windows inside.

A wonderful oasis of calm in a hot, busy car filled city. Well maintained particularly considering that it is in a developing country. Plenty of facilities and interesting wildlife such as large iguanas, terrapins and plenty of birds. Small but perfectly formed!

It's only 6 dollars plus 1 dollar tip. 1 hour 30 minutes hiking. I couldn't reach to the top cause I was sick. But it's not hard to make it

We came on a Saturday on December 21 with Salvadorean Tours. We got there at 10 am and there were plenty of people arriving already. We stayed for 1 hour and by the time we left, the parking lot was full. Our guide asked a local guide to join us on a loop walk where we went up 2 platforms to see the lagoon. That walk took 50 minutes but at a very leisurely pace. You do have to walk in the forest. We had great views on the platforms and the weather was nice.
