Armstrong Auditorium is home to the Armstrong International Cultural Foundation’s performing arts series. Situated on the campus of Herbert W. Armstrong College, the auditorium is located 20 minutes north of downtown Oklahoma City near Bryant Avenue and Waterloo Road in north Edmond.
Besides being an impressive visual and acoustical facility, Armstrong presents equally impressive performances by world-renowned artists, many of which are rarely if ever seen in our area. And they do it with subsidies that keep the price of admission ridiculously low. For many reasons this...MoreOur mission is to bring monumental cultural experiences here to Oklahoma as a world class center for the performing arts. We are glad you have enjoyed the performances here and we appreciate your support of the arts! Thanks for sharing your experience!

I've been going to this park for over thirty five years and it remains one of my favorites in Edmond. The walking trail has enough variety that you are not bored and if it isn't long enough do it twice. There is something for everyone, from the ducks in the pond to the children's playground. be sure to go in the spring when the tulips and daffodils are in bloom.

Mitch Park is a great place to picnic, exercise or just hang out. The trails are long and winding, and are a good place to bike, run or walk. The park also includes playground equipment, an outdoor auditorium and a skate board park. Pavilions are available for reservations for larger groups.

We tried to hit a number of wineries on our recent trip through Oklahoma, and while all of them were friendly and their wines tasty, some were not unlike a good "homemade" wine and not particularly complex and subtle. However, Clauren Ridge offers a number of excellent wines ranging from Syrahs to Cab Savs to many interesting whites. Prices are $16 or so, which is reasonable for a quality complex wine. You can taste a number of them if you purchase a bottle, and it's not too expensive if you don't. The staff were friendly, the location beautiful, and the time we spent sipping wine on their porch on a lazy August afternoon was wonderful. We took four bottles home and will be back there again, I'm sure. We're not much into "flavored" wines, but we have to admit the Cherry Chocolate was delicious. And their Syrah is a wine you can savor with its complex flavor. Highly recommended! Plan to spend an hour or two....take you time, enjoy some wine on the patio and look out over the vineyards....a beautiful place for a romantic afternoon!

If you have young kids, this place is a surprising gem. An old fashioned town in the back with a market, farm, teepee, bank, store and train provides a great play place for young children (babies to young elementary school). There's a park next to the museum with fun things to climb and picnic tables.

We stayed in Central State Park area with our RV at a full hookup site. There are only 10 full hookup sites in the park and they do NOT take reservations. As a result, I was encouraged to call on Thursday for availability through the weekend (Easter weekend). I was able to secure a sight for Thursday, although we did not intend to arrive until Friday. Had to pay an extra night to secure the spot. You may pay for a spot and not occupy it. When we arrived on Friday, there were no other full hookup sites available so we were thankful since we have not mastered boondocking yet (dry camping). The other RV sites around us that had electric only also had much better views of the lake. Those campsites actually were ON the lake, waterviews and steps away from dipping your toes!
The staff we encountered at the park were all nice & friendly. However it seems ridiculous to me that they refuse to take reservations. I hope this is something they change in the future. The park is owned by the City of Edmond now, no longer the Army Corps---hence, the water conservation.
The other RV parking spots are NOT pull through. They have electric available at each spot and "access" to water. I have read many reviews on another camping website about the horrors of 100+ feet of hose to attach to water. Some spots are closer than others of course and all the spickets we saw had a Y connector for more than one to hook up to them.
Our site was shady and clean. Each campsite has a picnic table, grill and fish cleaning station. There are large trash cans between the campsites that park staff empty every morning! So nice!
We utilized the showers also that are on the water conservation system. You may have to hit the faucet 20 times for a good shower, so what? Typical shower houses: minimal but useful. Mostly clean.
The playground in the camping area was very nice. My 11 and 9 year olds were easily entertained there and enjoyed the different play equipment than typical playgrounds (only disappointment was no swings).
We did not hike or use the lake during this stay. We will be returning since we have family in the area an utilized this instead of a hotel. Really hope they change the policies and start taking reservations soon!!

Painting, ceramics, wood crafts, pottery, and a large indoor play structure make this a favorite of kids in the area. They have a small snack bar if they get hungry while playing.

My grandsons range in age from 6-12. Even I love the slides, the river, everything! The smaller kids love it because the water is not too deep for them to stand up and practice swimming. The older kids love to float the whirlpool. The old folks love that they can see their grandkids at all times.

Over priced cupcakes and candy. The cupcakes are nothing special you are paying for the decor which is cute but not worth the price and the candy is nothing special. It is located in a cute shopping center
