Edessa Waterfalls is the most prominent landmark of the town. The waterfall is generated by the River Edesseos which cross the town and, in a very well organized park, offers to everybody this spectacular … show. Well, it’s a show indeed because if you are patient enough to admire the water you will notice a lot of new admirable images in motion! There are terraces connected by stairs from where you can admire the waterfall from different levels. There is even access behind the waterfall which offers a unique perspective and feeling about the beauty of the nature. Definitely, a place to visit while you are in Edessa.

we loved our stay in Edessa, plenty to see and we easily walked around the town and to the various sights including this gorgeous bridge which can still be walked over. The river under it leads down through the town so the walk back is very pleasant

It was amazing to see this site today, if you have Greek heritage or just love ancient history it's magical. For me I have family that have been here in Edessa for centuries so I felt a special connection to the land and to the site. I imagined what it would have been like all those years ago. For those who don't quite understand or have never been to an archaeological site like this, give it a chance and use your imagination a bit. It's really old, and probably not as amazing to the eye when you first look at it or go there but imagine the great fortifications for those years and how these people lived. Truly an amazing place for a history buff.

Live the ski experience in Kaimaktsalan mountain. Lovely place for ski and mainly during the week. Easy access and one interesting village before the Ski center.
