To effect and encourage preservation, restoration, and appropriate presentation of the town of Edenton and Chowan county, as a historic, educational and aesthetic place, to the benefit of the citizens of the place, and the state and of visitors!
If you've never been to Edenton, I highly suggest stopping by the Penelope Barker House and getting tickets for the Trolley tour. There is so much history in this little town and the guides in both the Welcome Center and Trolley were so sweet and knowledgable!

If you are with children there is a fantastic playground and play area within the area. Otherwise there are benches and kayaks that are available to take in the many sites within the park.
