A visit to Carson Park, here in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is a most pleasant attraction to experience especially if you visit on a really pleasant late summer or an early autumn afternoon. Within Carson Park are several other attractions that you can visit as you enjoy the park. The Paul Bunyan Logging Camp and the Chippewa Valley Museum are two such attractions. We even got to see a little Friday Night High School football at the Carson Park Stadium.

The Children's Museum of Eau Claire is an interactive environment for kids and their grown-ups that inspires imagination, discovery, creativity and the love of learning. A favorite destination for families in the Chippewa Valley, the Children's Museum offers non-traditional learning opportunities to help kids see, touch, learn and grow their way through important developmental milestones.
Three floors of fun and exploration for the young kids. The areas were divided into themes, anything from construction, to camping, farming, post office, grocery store, etc. Three floors of hands on fun. We did buy an annual membership, with grandparent riders. Parking was a bit of a pain. The on-street parking was a 2 hour limit. There were maps once we got inside of city lots available, and the parking is not limited on weekends. The staff was friendly and available. It looked like you could have a birthday party there also.

My family and I go here several times a season where it's open, we always find somw thing good especially from bohemian ovens and great harvest bread stands, today I had a bacon, egg and cheddar kolache and bought some cookies from bohemian ovens andf bought a loaf of caramel apple pecan from great harvest bread stand, there are also many stands with vegetables and cheese plus you can buy meats and salsa here too, they are open usually from May till October, this farmers market is definitely worth going too. :)

Museum tour started with a short video, followed by several rooms of artifacts and even a room of games for kids. Would be good for school-age kids and up. Staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about the local logging history. There's a deal to buy tickets for the nextdoor Chippewa Valley Museum.

Have your own adventure in history at Eau Claire's nationally recognized Chippewa Valley Museum, open year-round. The museum offers award-winning exhibits, beautifully preserved historic structures on the grounds, fun activities, a 1950's ice cream parlor, a museum store, and more. A visitor favorite is the multi-media object theater "This Day." The Chippewa Valley Museum sits beneath towering pines in Eau Claire's beautiful Carson Park, a 134-acre peninsula nestled inside horseshoe-shaped Half Moon Lake. The Chippewa Valley Museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.
The kind of museum, beloved by people who travel back roads with no particular destination. Yet the museum is tucked amidst the pines of Carson Park, just a mile from downtown Eau Claire.. Features old fashioned panorama wood-land scenes, with all the stuffed critters in their natural environment. And very educations as to the history of the once booming logging town.
A delightful little urban adventure into the backwoods.

We stopped into a small Eau Claire winery & distillery to checkout the options. We’re informed it’s been around for more than seven years and growing. We split one flight of wines (12 samples) for $7. Interesting options, we purchased two. We split a flight of liquor, 3 vodkas and 2 whiskeys. Also very interesting, as we purchased two. Interesting take on distilling beers for liquor. Interesting work with wines. Some people will love them, wine snobs won’t, but it may work for you. The flights are not too much, especially if split by two people. Give the place a try. They have bands sometimes, and a happy hour. Enjoy.

Had enjoyable brew and it went well with a local food truck offering. Spot is a little small when outside seating season is over, but they are expanding across the street and will have beautiful view of Chippewa Rivert front. Anxious for new place and their great beers!

Beautiful trail in any season to run( or walk). The river scenery constantly changes with the seasons. Wildlife is frequently spotted. Oh, and it goes by some great coffee shops! In summers you may see some tube floaters going by. Just a great natural resource to help us unwind.

Rather large hall (not really to be called romantic) for large groups. Good beers though, especially the IPA's. And that is coming from a Belgian! Interior is an attempt to look 'German' altough we suspect the owners are Czech (nothing wrong with that :-) )
We'll return to this place, just to have a couple of beers.
