The highest peak in the world.
Getting to Lukla and then planned overnight at Manjo, Namche Bazaar (2 nights), Tengboche, Dinghbochhe (2 nights) , Labuche, Gorakshep, Everest Base camp and Kalapattar - total 13 days is ideal trip Everest and Kalapattar trek. Do not haste, do not run when you are on the Everest trail.

It's a must do experience by helicopter if you are not going to hike the Everest Base Camp trek for 14 days. The helicopter tour from Kathmandu takes only 3/4 of a day to go to Kala Patthar heil-landing area near Everest Base Camp at 18,000'. Our day was super clear with awesome view of Everest & surrounding mountains. We had an awesome trip with Altitude Air helicopters. I highly recommend this trip for anyone on a short timetable or cannot make the hike.

Nice lake in Sagarmatha National Park with crystal-clear water. Such a wonder of nature. It is recommended to pay a visit and take photos when you do the trekking to Mt Everest

While the trek to EBC is amazing, the Kala Patthar summit is even more breathtaking .. and quite an accomplishment! Getting to EBC is great, and it’s so fun to stand directly below earth’s highest point, however, getting to the top of Kala Patthar leads to stunning views of some of the highest mountains in the world and the closest view you’ll ever get of Mt. Everest. Also, the view of Pumori is quite impressive as you trek up the mountain. I can’t wait to go back someday!

I thought the Franz Joseph glazier in NZ was big until I saw this! Starting at the Base Camp below the Everest Mountain range, it's amazing force, moving billions of tonnes of snow, ice & rock is breathtaking.

Namche is a “cross roads” to various trekking locations. It is a large village with lots of shops to purchase gear, food, etc. A great place to stay is Khumbu Resort at the top of Namche. It is a bit of a walk up but you are out of the crowds of Namche, have great views from the lodge, and you have a head start on your trek further into the Solukhumbu. I have posted a picture of the lodge owner, a wonderfully friendly woman.
