The Crystal Ballroom occupies a large, renovated space within the former Glossop Conservative Club building, with a room capacity of 180. Originally built in 1909, The Ballroom’s stunning Edwardian architecture creates a spectacular and versatile space perfect for live music and events. It is located in the gateway to The Peak District in High Peak, Derbyshire. Just 30 minutes east of Manchester, neighbouring Tameside and Stockport. Our venue is also available to hire for private functions including Weddings, Birthdays, Engagements, Retirements and more.

I have attended the comedy night twice now and each time it has been thoroughly enjoyable. The acts are great, venue provides a fantastic atmosphere, staff are welcoming and above all the night is great fun for friends and family to attend together. Will most certainly be coming back again

I went in Feb and it was an evening show, in the city you can imagine panicking at the thought of having to queue in the cold and dark!! But metronome let every attender wait inside for the gig, I’m not sure if this happens with every event as this was my first one, but it made the night so much more stress free. The building is beautiful inside and the actual gig room is ideal, it’s intimate and you’re right next to the artist. My only issue was that the signing for the band was after the show, and with long queues it can be difficult to know exactly what time you’re leaving, which might be difficult if you’re getting a bus/train back. Nevertheless, I can’t wait for an artist I like to go to metronome again, it’s become one of my favourite venues just from that one night.

We are a small privately owned and run function suite on the first floor of the football club building. The room has a lovely atmosphere, and is classically decorated. We have a maximum capacity of 200 - 150 seated, with a fully stocked Bar. There is a disabled platform lift for access. We cater for Parties, Weddings, Business meetings, Wakes, plus ticketed Comedy and Live Music Events. All of our events are pre booked.

This is the 2nd time I have been to the Hall. Both times have been excellent experiences. I saw an interesting talk and presentation from Lucy Worsley last week went to see Amanda Owen. She was brilliant. The view was good. the venue was warm. During the interval I was served at the bar quickly - in time to eat my ice-cream. Overall both times have been an excellent experience. The building also holds the Sock gallery which is a great way for local artists to display paintings.

Visited as a couple for the 'After Hours' event at the end of Jan. A great bar situated in Leicesters cultural quarter, with a relaxing, intimate vibe. The cocktails we tried were great, as was the service from the bar staff. The music, provided by live DJ's throughout the night also made for a fantastic atmosphere. We are looking forward to the next event and hope to drop in for some drinks between now and then!

We visited amidst all the social distancing rules and I'm pleased that I felt safe. A one way system, hand sanitisers, named and separated tables and table service after ordering online or on the app. They have it well organised. There were three comedians on and the compare - all were very funny and had me laughing out loud. We ordered food as we were tempted even though we'd eaten a two course meal beforehand ????♀️. The food came quickly and was hot. All in all a great night out.
