Sconce and Devon Park

What a great place for a walk, seeing Civil War history, conservation areas, kids playing football and meeting friendly folk. Large site which is well kept and you can really feel in the countryside just a stroll away from the town centre. Nice cafe, sit in or out, good to support a venture helping young people who have some difficulties.

We went on the Santa deluxe train on the 23rd December with our 5 children (one being 19!) and we all had a fantastic time. It was very well organised and our food hamper was full of treats we all enjoyed including wine, fruit shoots, mince pies, crisps, nuts, satsumas-plenty for everyone! there was even a sleigh made of various chocolates and cake. Santa was very friendly and the Childrens gifts were good too. The train journey was the right length, it wasn’t too long so the children didn’t get bored. All in all we had a brilliant time and was a great start to our Christmas celebrations!
