The waterfall was so amazing and majestic ,it was breathtaking. This is not your ordinary waterfall as you need to walk a lot and climb too cause the path to the waterfall was quite steep and slippery. It took me about 6 hours to finish walking and climbing through 4 waterfalls so you need a lot of stamina. It was great and enjoyable as you can climb the waterfalls yourself which was very different from a few waterfalls I visited .I also wanted to thank the local guide cause he help me a lot when going through the slippery waterfalls. So,you must have a local guide to guide you. However ,I must say that this visit to the waterfall may not be suitable for young children and elderly cause it is quite dangerous.

Here, you can feel the unique sensation. Karanganjar Coffee Plantation which is also known as “the Dutch Village”. Not only known for coffee education, this place also offers cultural-tourism with its Blitar culture museum. And don’t forget to taste the original coffee of Blitar at O.G. Cafe while enjoying the oldies music of the independence era. In addition, we have 4 Historical Museum inside the area that you can visit. We also offer some outdoor activities such as ATV, Cross bike, Jeep, Horse riding, and Paintball.
This is a working coffee plantation, it produces coffee. You can see the entire proces from the coffee plant to the roasted coffee bean. You can also taste their coffee in the cafe. They have all their coffee there to taste and you can chose how the coffee is made for you, from Indonesia way as kopi tubruk, as filtered, or French press. There is also a restaurant where you can eat a bit. The factory can be visited as well to see the roasting and milling. In the factory there is all the coffee they produce for you to smell and of course you can buy the coffee here, in powder, or as whole beans. Coffee in the form of powder can also be bought in the cafe. There is a small packet and a bigger one. I bought small packages of all to taste at home and bought a kilo of whole beans from the most nicest smelling coffee. There is also a museum with a lot of stuff from the past and many of that stuff is Dutch. Also the sign board on the entrance gate is still in Dutch and from the past. Some buildings at the plantation are also still from the Dutch area and build by the Dutch. Street names inside the plantation and some signs boards in building have still Dutch names or writings. And the name itself Keboen Kopi Karanganjar, is still the old Dutch writing. In modern Indonesia, keboen (garden) is nowadays written as kebun. For me that was interesting to see as I am Dutch but also partly Indonesian. Besides the museum there is also a small souvenir shop and there is coffee education, where they explain al about coffee. We have also met the current owner, who is now the third generation. That was very interesting and he took the time to speak with us. All the employees here where very friendly and helpful. We stayed here about 4 hours. We came already in the afternoon and so towards the evening there was an enormous sound of all sorts of animals and insects living in the trees in and around the plantation. That was also a nice experience. I can strongly recommend this interesting place. It is interesting about coffee, it is nature, and it is calm and relaxing.

This place may look like a nightmare of your badest dreams but is so amazingly beautiful, surprising and adventurous. People visit here for 2 reasons a) To reach summit and stay there to watch beautiful turquoise lake and if lucky some views of blue fire b) To reach summit and then go down the crater to have chance of lifetime to see blue fire and sulphur miners doing manual mining We gathered all our courage to go down the crater as well. Now this trekking starts late night as blue fire is not visible once sun comes out so we need to go down crater before sunlight comes out. Going up the summit of Ijen requires decent stamina but not very challenging. Challenging part starts when you to move down the crater in almost zero light and only torch or mobile light visible. Its one of the most adventurous hiking done by me. During going down, you will encounter sulphur miners who manually gather sulphur and hangit on there shoulder to the top (almost 70 kg in one round) and they do it 2-3 times in a day, it so damn amazing as we only in one round were totally out. Reaching bottom is like reaching surface of moon, completely different environment with deadly gases around (masks are suggested to be safe from carbon di oxide), unique surrounding with sulphur coming out of mountains and then you see the most amazing thing - BLUE FIRE, its so beautiful For hikers/nature lovers - its a must visit. Its ones in a lifetime experience Special thanks to our tour guide who ensured we experience everything and safely too.

Apart from the very famous Mount Bromo, there are other tourist attractions that must be visited while you are in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area. A place that must be visited is the Madakaripura Waterfall. This waterfall is quite famous for both domestic and foreign tourist. Madakaripura is the highest waterfall on the island of Java and the second highest in Indonesia, with the height of about 1000 meters above sea level. Because of its highness, the atmosphere around there are fresh and cold. The unique part of Madakaripura is its circular shape and around the waterfall is decorated with its beautiful shape plants. Madakaripura waterfall is known as an eternal waterfall, because the water flow never decreases. If you go to Madakaripura waterfall you have to bring a raincoat because during the day it often rains suddenly.

Batu Secret Zoo is a modern zoo located on 22 Ha of land area in Kota Wisata Batu. The zoo becomes the home of more than 300 species of unique animals from around the world. Museum Satwa is one of the most impressive and iconic tourist destination from Jawa Timur Park Group which located at Jalan Oro-Oro Ombo 9, Batu. The luxurious white building that built on 1 Ha of area is an international standard museum which presents preserved animals from all over the world.
Make sure to buy the tickets online since the queue can be quite long. If you buy it from Traveloka, you can exchange the e-voucher on their booth without hassle. The one I bought is for the Museum Satwa, Batu Secret Zoo, and Sweet Memories Selfie. Also make sure to visit earlier because the later the more crowded it can get. All the three places offer unique experience. The Museum Satwa is a place to view preserved animals and fossils from all over the world, including fish, insects, mammals, birds, reptiles, and many more. Batu Secret Zoo is the living version of the Museum Satwa since it hosts actual living animals and it also has a small theme park. Sweet Memories Selfie offers unique photo spots that are different in each room. Definitely one of the top tourist destination in Batu and really worth the price.
