This museum dedicated to the US 8th and 9th Army Air Force houses a large collection of American combat aircraft.
Great aircraft in here and at all angles. Our little grand daughter loved weaving in and out of the planes. We really enjoyed our day and trip there

Classic Wings has been providing vintage flight experiences for over 25 years. We have a range of flights from sightseeing trips to flying lessons. We operate a fleet of aircraft from IWM Duxford which is one of the most impressive aviation attractions in the world.
Had a fantastic 40th Birthday present from my fiancée and family. She arranged a flight in the Dragon Rapide flying wing to wing with the Spitfire, fantastic flight and tons of opportunity for photos and videos. And then a flight in the Tigermoth which all blew my breath away, my pilot in the Tigermoth was called Steve and I couldnt have asked for a better pilot, informative and very friendly, enjoyed the time I took control and will remember for ever. All staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful, great value for money and great service. I will be booking in the future and just want to say a massive thank you to all of the team!!

Walk through the same hangars and buildings as those who served at RAF Duxford at Britain’s best preserved Second World War airfield.
A must for any aviation enthusiast probably the best collection of aircraft in the country. You will need a full day to see it all.

Recently taken over, traditional English pub, serving a wide range of real ales, real ciders, lagers, wines and and a vast selection of spirits-hopefully there will be something for everyone! Food is served 6 days a week, we like to pride ourselves on doing good homely pub food, and Sunday roasts with ALL the trimmings. We even like to keep some pub games such as darts, cribs, cards and dominos
Probably the last really decent proper pub in the villages south of Cambridge. An Everards house, serves a good range of their beers, including the excellent Old Original, along with a number of real ciders, a very rare thing round these parts. Owner, staff and locals are friendly no-nonsense types, pub is open all day, food is served, and they now have a lovely big tent in the car park with loads of room if social distancing is a worry. Highly recommended if you like a real pub and decent beer.

St John's Church dates from the early 12th century and escaped modernisation, remaining a textbook example of an early medieval church. The copious graffiti on the walls and woodwork spans hundreds of years and there is a grand scheme of 12th-15th century wall art, making this Grade I church one of Cambridgeshire's truly outstanding attractions.
Duxford is blessed with two churches dating from the early 12th century but St John's had the fortune not to be drastically updated as ceased to be a parish church for the village from 1874. For over 100 years it was left until finally being saved by the Churches Conservation Trust in 1979. It is a splendid example of a 12th century church in all its bare, crumbly decor and contains many interesting wall paintings, decorative stonework and copious graffiti on the chalk arcades (most of which dates to the 200 years the north chapel served as a village school). Anyone interested in seeing a medieval church as it might have looked 800 years ago should pay a visit. Perfect location for access to the M11 (J10) and A505. Whittlesford Parkway railway is exactly 1 mile walk away and there are buses from Saffron Walden and Cambridge.
