The capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dusseldorf is a regional economic powerhouse straddling the banks of the Rhine River. Altstadt is not just Dusseldorf's lovely old town, but also where the city's nightlife is based and where Altbier, its native dark beer, is plentiful. Dusselforfians take their beer seriously. Königsallee (Ko to the locals), Dusseldorf's famous shopping street, has many high-end stores. And the Museum Kunst Palast has one of the Rhineland's best art collections.

No street reflects the city's well-to-do reputation more than the wide array of upscale stores and restaurants on Knigstrasse.
It is a rare nice view close to the old city and to the most expensive shops It is in the center of Dusseldorf in a very crowded area most of the time you can enjoy he walking along the river

I was there couple of days ago with my friend and I loved this place. Nature inside the city. Really worth to visit if you like walking or cycling or even enjoy the nature. The view of Rhein is amazing as well. Highly recommended to everyone

This is a wonderful open air market in the Altstadt area of Dusseldorf. Many businesses ranging from fruit and vegetables vendors to delicious eateries and wine bars. Our favorite eatery is the Pahlke Feine Fischkost where one can enjoy either fish pasta salads or tasty codfish with vegetables. If you are free for lunch this is the place to come. Also there are vendors who sell thuringer, bratwurst and curry wurst with pommes frites (chips). All in all a very pleasant place to experience. This should be on your "to do" list when visiting Dusseldorf. M. Greg Miller Millersville, Pennsylvania, USA

We enjoyed a couple of hours, in the chilly winter sun , walking around this beautifully kept property , admiring the land and the animals. The highlight for all of us was buying a 1 Euro pot of animal food, walking through a large pasture and hand feeding the friendly , gentle deer. There are play areas, toilets shes picnics areas. All clean and tidy. Theres plenty of free parking and admission is also free!

We had a great time at Classic Remise Düsseldorf and it's a must-see for classic car enthusiasts. We enjoyed a really good, reasonably-priced lunch at the central restaurant (on the site of the old train turntable). The pizza was excellent and big, plenty for two and, of course, there's altbier. It's really fun to sit there among so many, varied and beautiful automobiles. We wandered for over an hour, fascinated. The variety is incredible, and it's fun to see the prices and descriptions on the cars for sale, take in the variety of stored cars, look down on active garages working on these beauties, and admire the interesting building. Free admission, free parking. Highly recommend!
