I think the best thing about this place is it's just 2 blocks from us and we can walk there whenever we want. They offer 38 taps and have a lot of great beers to choose from. They also sell beer off the shelf so you can take it home with you. It's a dog friendly place and since they don't sell food, you can bring in outside food if you want. You can buy different sizes of beers. Their glasses are marked with lines for 8 oz, 10 oz, and 12 oz. I just wanted to taste two of their stouts that I had never heard of before so I got two 8 oz glasses. Both were excellent. They will even fill growlers for you. The bartenders were so nice and they really knew their beers and could explain the taste to you to help you decide what you wanted from their rotating selections. They also offer wine if you don't want a beer. My only complaint was as the place filled up it was quite noisy. There is also some seating in the back with several arcade games/pinball machines.

Downtown Durham's neighborhood bottle shop and growler filling station. Featuring craft beer, wines, and local NC snacks. Have a beer while you shop!
It didn't look like there was recent review for Beer Durham, so I thought I'd let people know this great bottle shope/tasking room is still going strong. This is a very nice bottle shop and tap room near Durham Central Park with some 20 rotating taps of various brands and styles of beer and a great selection of bottles and cans for purchase, in addition to crowlers and growlers of what's on tap. On the small side with limited seating, the staff is very friendly and they know their beers.
